Mitchell and Cam are out and run into a news reporter they are huge fans of. Mitchell tries to tell her about a case he's working on that could really use the public's attention. However, Cam ends up stealing the spotlight when she finds out that he's a gay high school football coach.

The news wants to do a story about Cam and the high school football team. He convinces Mitchell to do a pancake breakfast, but Mitchell ends up saddling all of the work. He gets resentful of Cam. Cam feels bad and goes to watch Mitchell in court.

When the team wins the game and the reporter is talking to Cam, he tries to move the spotlight to Mitchell as his way of making things up to him.

Gloria hires a Spanish tutor for Manny even though he really wants to take French. The tutor is young and attractive and Jay sides with Manny and fires him. Gloria tells them that she was just enjoying being able to talk to someone in her first language and not having to translate in her head. Jay feels bad and rehires the tutor for himself.

Haley and Andy spend time helping each other prep for interviews. Claire things there is something more going on.
