Major Crimes Season 6 Episode 6 begins a new mystery about a lawyer who is found dead in her car in the middle of the night. Bonnie Pearl was shot by someone after she rolled down her passenger side window, and she turns out to have been representing some waitresses who work at a restaurant called Tackles. Tackles waitresses are required to dress provacatively and put up with being slapped on the butt and otherwise touched. The waitresses in question were fired for not putting up with these terms.

The investigation yields several suspects, but no concrete leads. In the past, Bonnie sued a guy named Eric Walsh who made a female actress strip and yelled at her and stripped himself when she refused. Walsh is brought in and is super angry, but Sharon doubts he is the killer because Bonnie wouldn't have let him near her. Other suspects include her son Stan and her ex-husband Jerry.

The plot thickens when Vanessa, one of the models Bonnie was representing at the time of her death, is also found dead.

Meanwhile, Gus gives Rusty back his stuff and Rusty learns that Gus can't get another job because Aiden fired him and won't give him a reference after Gus broke off their relationship. Sharon tells Rusty that is illegal and he decides to do something about it -- but will he go too far?
