Jo arrives in Alaric's office, and his first instinct is to get his crossbow. 

Jo pleads with him, and he ultimately leaves her locked in there with a spell. The twins find out and meet with her for the first time. They all cry, and Jo says she will stay for as long as she can. 

Josie later asks Jo to fix her hair, and she does so. Josie invites her to the party to watch over her and Lizzie, but Jo turns into a skull thing and buries her alive. 

Hope, Alaric, MG, and Penelope find Josie buried alive, and save her life. Jo knows the only way to get rid of the villain in her body is for the twins to siphon the magic out of her. 

This made Jo disappear and die all over again. 

Alaric helped Dorian put Jo back in her grave, but the necromancer shows up, intent on causing death and destruction. 

Elsewhere, Rafael tells Lizzie at her birthday party that he does not have feelings for her and that they should probably part ways. 

Rafael and Hope bonded over their love for Landon.
