Law & Order: SVU Season 19 Episode 12 focuses on the rape of an inflammatory political commentator.

When right wing pundit Martha Cobb speaks at Hudson University, students representing antifa and other left wing organizations protest. But when Martha is found unconscious in the quad and it is discovered she was raped, SVU must investigate her attack despite most of the team's distaste for her politics.

Martha is not very cooperative with the team, as she hates their politics as much as they hate hers. Little by little, Benson does get some information out of her and they build a case against a left-wing activist named Justin who is glad Martha was raped.

However, Martha has an obsessed fan -- a white supremacist named Randy who goes to all her rallies and is regularly arrested for physically attacking protesters. Randy claims to be innocent of her rape, but can Barba make a case against Justin without definitive proof that Randy isn't involved?

Benson tries over and over to make a connection with Martha so she can find out the truth while struggling with having to advocate for this woman at all.

Law & Order: SVU Season 7 Episode 12 Quotes

Rollins: Anyone have a protest sign that looks like this?
Girl: So you can get people for protesting?
Rollins: This isn't about politics. A woman was raped.

Woman: The liberal snowflakes want to tear down statues of Andrew Jackson, Jefferson Davis... they seem to have forgotten that they were Democrats too. Just saying. That's why I come to colleges like Hudson, because I might be the only conservative voice they hear in four years.
Student: We don't want you here!
Woman: There is a totalitarian PC culture and I'm sick of it.
[students start marching]
Students: Go home. No Nazis. No KKK.
Woman: See? They are so brainwashed they've forgotten freedom of speech! Do you even know what you're fighting for?
