Law & Order: SVU Season 21 Episode 12 focuses on the issue of suicide among cops.

Benson is nervous about going to Tucker's retirement party because she hasn't seen him since the breakup, but she soon has a bigger problem. A friend from the academy, Rachel Wilson, crashes the party, throws a drink in Tucker's face, and then commits suicide outside.

Benson is upset that so many cops have committed suicide, but it gets worse when she learns that Rachel left a video behind accusing the NYPD of protecting their own after she was raped. SVU's investigation seems to lead to the idea that Tucker is covering up the rape, which Benson doesn't believe.

Kat introduces Benson to her old supervisor, who worked with Rachel also...and then the guy commits suicide too. Benson knows that her therapist knows something, but he won't tell. Meanwhile, Mrs. Morris blames Kat for her husband's death.

Benson must confront Tucker about his role in all this, and learns another devastating secret about him when she does. Benson struggles with feelings of guilt over having broken up with Tucker on top of having to deal with the death of her friend.
