This week’s patient is a lottery-winner who is looking for love. The patient’s ex-girlfriend comes to find him at the hospital, and he even proposes to her. The patient later painfully finds out that the woman is a fraud who is working with his relative to steal his money. At the end of the episode, however, the patient’s real lost love comes to visit.
Cuddy’s mother threatens to sue the hospital. After several failed negotiations, House realizes that Cuddy’s mom really just wants him and Cuddy to get back together. Cuddy explains to her mother that a common enemy is not enough to get her and House to reunite as a couple.
In other news, Chase tries to maintain abstinence, while Foreman tries to prove that he can control his blood pressure, especially around House. Thirteen exudes cynicism all episode, but then shows that she is still capable of being hopeful.
