Nick and Hank investigate the ritualistic murder of a homeless man who was crucified and gored. After a second victim turns up, they learn that the ritual is an ancient rain-summoning ceremony association with an ox-like Wesen. Tracking a shipment of lumber, they meet a farmer who is one of these ox Wesen.
He denies having anything to do with the killings and claims the lumber was stolen, and further states that a Black Claw recruiter visited the farm.
Monroe infiltrates the Black Claw recruitment meeting and learns a few things, plus witnesses the farmer get thrown out after attempting to drag out his son.
The team realizes where the final ritual killing will be, and arrives in time to stop the Wesen from killing the final homeless person. After getting killed, the Wesen is revealed as the owner of the lumber yard that supplied the lumber. Mysteriously, after he dies, it starts to rain.
Meanwhile, Meisner, Trubel, and Eve take on some soldiers from Black Claw and capture one. Taking him back to their base for interrogation, Meisner hands him over to Eve's tender mercies. Their captive eventually reveals that a man Trubel earlier identified is a courier for Black Claw, and he's probably in town to deliver a message to Lucien Petrovich.
