On the eight season finale...
- Meredith, Cristina, and Mark search for the others in the plane crash. Arizona’s leg is injured, Derek’s hand is messed up, and Mark has a cardiac issue. They have to perform a mini make-shift surgery on Mark to keep the blood from building up in his heart.
- Mark finds Lexie trapped underneath a piece of the plane. She is badly injured. Mark holds her hand and tells her he loves her. Lexie passes away.
- Back at the hospital, Callie waits for Arizona to come home. Richard takes the residents to dinner but waits for Yang and Grey to arrive.
- Owen fires Teddy so she will take a once in a life time opportunity job at Medcom.
- Owen receives messages from the Boise hospital that the doctors have not arrived.
Meredith: Get this baby out of me safely and you can have whatever you want.

i dried through out 8:24, why did lexie have to die? then mark too? that was a bit too drastic!

I can't believe you kill lexie her and mark need to get back together. I have buy all the season and to tell you that when george and now lexie kill off it hard for me not to cryon my show. But I still watch it. don't stop make grey got to have it.

no one realises that the reason lexie had small parts this season was because the actress had a baby (hence jackson sending her out of town), and then maternity leave and forfeiting her role to be a mother. read up on your facts first.

I love GREY'S ANATOMY...sad to see all the suffering...cried through most of the FINALE! Great job Ms Rhimes, but do not kill off ANY MORE characters!!! Lexie is a great character...she brings joy to the show. Thankyou for a fantastic show!!!!!

they were on a plane to go perform a surgery for the conjoined twins, does no one else pay attention ? thats why they were on the plane!
