They use old tunnels to get to the lab and run into a Loyalist who is needed to get to other parts of the university.
The Loyalist cons Olivia into believing his story, but Etta is untouched.

Etta chooses not to kill the Loyalist because she saw pity in Olivia's eyes.
Walter finds a betamax recorder that tells them to find the rest of the tapes to piece together the clues to saving the world.

I just loved this show, a fiction television drama follows Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), and Walter Bishop (John Noble), members of a "Fringe Division" team located in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security.
