Henry learns that the curator had stumbled upon the dagger used to kill Adam for the first time. Naturally, he is interested in getting his hands on the weapon. Adam is also interested, as is a third party who has discovered the presence of immortals through reading Dr. Josef Mengele's diaries from WWII. Henry tries to steer the investigation away from the hunt for the dagger but he's unsuccessful. When he finally finds the dagger himself, Jo shows up and takes it from him. Henry uses Lucas to get control of the dagger once again so that he can deliver it to Adam in order to protect those he loves.

During his showdown with Adam, Henry tries to walk away after handing over the dagger, but Adam will not let him. Before Adam will attempt to take his own life withe dagger, he decides to test his theory on Henry by shooting him with the same gun which killed Henry the first time.
