Annie's Georgetown professor and mentor was killed. Joan lets her know that Professor Mark was a CIA agent for 20 years, and he was the one that recommended Annie to the company. Annie has to tell Mark's wife that he was in the CIA, and Safia doesn't take it well.
Mark was hiding information, so the DPD attempts to find the micro chip he was hiding it on. While Auggie and the gang go through all of Mark's stuff, Annie chases down Safia, who stole Mark's wedding vows from his safe deposit box. The informational chip ended up being on the vows.
Meanwhile, Danielle is suspicious of Annie's work habits, and heads to the Smithsonian to see what's up. Auggie makes his way there to keep Annie out of fire with her sister, but after seeing what happened to Safia after finding out her husband was in the CIA, Annie might be ready to tell Danielle everything.

Too bad about the professor. I thought he knew about Annie in the CIA because they would have interviewed him as part of her vetting process. Interesting plot twist, this. Does this mean (possibly 2 great stories in a row including 'Welcome...') the writers are awake now?
