At a graveyard, several college kids are seen messing about with spells. They soon find themselves transported to different rooms in a mysterious house. Though they manage to escape, these kids are now marked for death. The angel, Manny, appears to John and tells him to stop feeling sorry for himself. His friend, Ritchie, is in serious trouble and needs John's help. As we've seen with most of John's so-called friends, they're reluctant to even deal with the man. John informs Ritchie that Gary is dead and he refused to lose another friend. He was determined to help Ritchie whether he liked it or not. Meanwhile, a student mysteriously dies on campus. The duo questions Lily, one of Ritchie's students and learns about the ritual they performed. Upon visiting the grave yard, John uses an enchantment to uncover glyphs used during the ceremony. They were dealing with out body travel to alternate realms. John warns Ritchie that "if those kids actually made it into another realm, then they've opened gates that won't be easy to close." Ritchie informs John that if you're killed in another dimension your body here suffers the same form of death. Those kids were in trouble. Constantine and Ritchie bring the sole survivor, Lily, to the millhouse. Thinking the killer could only gain access through a reflective surface, they figured she would be safe there. Unfortunately, Lily went to use her mobile phone and was pulled into the other realm. John and Ritchie enter the madman's dimension. Ritchie had studied enough about other planes to alter this new reality. He ultimately let's in the light defeating the killer and saving Lily. Sadly, her friends were forced to stay behind because their physical bodies died in the real world. For a moment, Ritchie considered staying behind and designing his own world. John made a good case for returning home and living a real life, so Ritchie snapped out of it. It seems this shared experience brought the two old mates closer together. At the very least, John saved Ritchie's life.
