Chicago Med Season 5 Episode 15 revolves around ethical questions.

When Nat treats a patient with a young daughter, she quickly learns from the mother that the patient isn't the child's father -- he's an actor who has been hired to play the father. But he won't tell Nat his symptoms and insists he is the character he is playing.

Dr Charles is called in. He learns that the mother has decided to "kill off" the pseudo father so that Harper will never know he's not her real dad. After talking with the patient, he realizes the guy poisoned himself because he believes that is more in character than the ending Elaine has chosen. But he won't tell Charles and Nat what poison he took.

Meanwhile, Choi and Marcel must treat a man who is suffering after a botched execution. Marcel quickly realizes the executioners had no clue what they are doing, but Goodwin says the man must be returned to the prison to be executed now that he's okay. However, the man's arm muscle dies. Marcel sees no point to amputating when the guy is gonna be killed anyway, but Choi disagrees.

And finally, when Asher doesn't turn up to work, Will must make several decisions to protect her current and future patients.
