Sid Ross, the creator of the long running, late night sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Tonight” is murdered and found on top of the elevator in the studio. Castle, Beckett and the team at the 12th investigate. Mickey Franks, played by guest star Jaleel White is the show’s major star who threatened to kill Sid in front of everyone and has been acting crazy. Kate arrests him after they find him wandering around in a knight’s costume and he goes after her with the fake sword. When they bring him into interrogation he claims they must talk to his attorney, a puppet. But Mickey gets serious when he finds out Sid was murdered. He was only acting crazy to get out of his contract and start his film career and his alibi checks out. Danny Valentine, played by Gregory Harrison is the show's host who flirts with Beckett as Castle looks on, unamused.
Back home, Martha prepares for previews to begin on her Broadway play and gets cold feet. She tells Castle that she hasn’t been on Broadway in 20 years and she’s not ready for this. She’s going to back out. Rick tells her, “Absolutely not!” No one gives you second chances, you earn them and Martha has earned this.

Castle Season 7 Episode 22 Quotes

Be honest, when you vowed for better or for worse you really had no idea what you were agreeing to, did you?

Rick Castle

Oh, absolutely not! You will not and do you know why? Because you're a fighter. What have you always told me? No one will give you anything in this life. You must earn it and look at you. Almost 20 years later and you're back on Broadway. You have earned this.
