A pool shark is stabbed to death in his own home with a pool cue but all of the doors and windows appear to be locked from the inside. Security camera footage shows his front door opening and closing with no one actually there. Later all the security footage is stolen or seemingly disappears. Several crazy theories are thrown around including the devil, a demon or the invisible man.

As Castle and Beckett investigate, it turns out the man's insurance job was just a cover. He was actually working for a top secret government lab set to develop a cloaking suit but when he needed help completing the suit did it lead to his violent death?

And Rick and Kate have been taking things slowly at home when they realize they are both ready to get back to normal. Really ready but their plans for a romantic reunion are cut short by work, paranoia over being watched by invisible forces and Martha walking in.
