We meet up with Zoe Graystone (Alessandra Toreson) at a crazy night club in part of a holostream. We learn that Zoe has a duplicate inside the holostream that she's programmed to help her change the world. Zoe is caught using the holostream as school and ends up in trouble, getting into a huge fight with her mother culminating in her getting slapped. Zoe sneaks away with her friend Ben on a train to Geminon, but on the way, Ben reveals his strapped with bombs and blows himself up, taking out Zoe and a train full of people with him, including the wife and daugher of a lawyer with connections, Joseph Adama (Esai Morales).
After both losing their kids, Adama and Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) end up bonding. At the Graystone home, Zoe's friend Lucy Rand (Magda Apanowicz) comes over and asks Amanda Graystone (Paula Malcomson) if she can hang out in her daughter's room. Amanda thinking it's part of the grieving process, allows her. Once inside, Lucy goes into the holostream and visits holo-Zoe, where she finds out that Zoe is still alive and felt the pain of the explosion. Daniel ends up walking in on Lucy using the holostream and pops in himself and gets a glimpse of his daughter. He later makes Lucy take him back in where he meets holo-Zoe and strals her avatar's data using a memory card.
Daniel creates his own room for holo-Zoe to live in and learns the process by which his daughter was able to create a copy of herself. While hanging out with Adama and his son at a Buccanneer's game (a team he owns), Daniel pitches Adama on a chance to see his wife and daughter again. He creates Adama an avatar and sends him into the holostream to meet a copy of Adama's daughter he created from her digital footprint left in the world. He convinces Adama to steal an artificial intelligence chip from his competitor on Tauren, Virgas.
With the chip, Daniel is able to transfer the AI of Zoe's avatar to a Cylon, which begins to speak and act as her until it collapses. Daniel also puts the AI into a military Cylon that previously was unable to hit its targets. Now with improved AI, his company is able to keep its military contract. At the end of the episode, we see Cylon Zoe get up and call Lucy.
Meanwhile, we also learn that Sister Clarice Willow (Polly Walker), Zoe's teacher, is a secret monothiest, like Zoe and her friends, in a polytheist world.
Also, an agent investigating the terrorist explosion by Ben and the Soldiers of the One, comes to Mrs. Graystone and believes her daughter was a part of it due to the final email she sent home of telling her mother not to live in regret.
