When Erin's main witness in a murder for hire trial turns out to be a liar, she tries to get the only other witness to testify. Vincent is in Witness Protection and the US Marshal's won't release him. So Erin and Alex track Vincent down in Iowa and convince him to come back but in doing so, his life is in danger as there is still a price on his head. Erin has to get Danny and Baez involved in order to get Vincent safely back to Iowa.

Elsewhere, due to an over eager Civilian Patrol Officer, Eddie is put in a position where she has to shoot and kill and armed drug dealer. The incident shakes up Eddie and brings her and Jamie closer.

And Frank faces a challenge when the mayor wants his friend's misdemeanor charges dropped and non-directly tells Frank that he'll authorize the increase in Officer's pensions if that happens. Frank refused to take the bait, knowing that as soon as he does one special favor for the mayor it can be used against him the future.
