Danny and Linda try to get their mortgage refinanced and end up in the middle of a bank robbery. Later, during the investigation, Danny realizes that the group of robbers were military veterans and manages to track them down but doesn't have enough proof to arrest them. I turns out they were robbing the bank to pay for Capt. Richard Sullivan's medical treatment. Capt. Sullivan lost both legs and sufered a traumatic brain injury while in combat but the Veterans Administration has yet to authorize his treatment and his symptoms are getting worse. Reluctantly, Danny pursues the case and flips Sullivan's wife who was also involved in the robbery. The robbers each get five years in prison but Danny and Erin use their contacts to get the VA to finally approve Sullivan's treatment and he's able to check into the hospital.

Elsewhere, Jamie and Eddie stumble upon an abandoned duffel bag which turns into a bomb scare. When it turns out to be an aritst's prank, Frank gets caught in the middle of Garrett and Gormley's argument over how to handle it.
