Recap

Rome's parents Renee and Walter prepare for their cruise trip and Rome is annoyed that his brother Omar isn't helping.

Regina sets Renee up with a hair appointment but later gets a call saying that Renee passed away of an aneurysm. Regina tells Rome, and he wants to be the one to tell Walter.

Walter overheard it and is packing because he wants to go on the trip anyway since he promised Renee. It means they have to throw a funeral for her within the next couple of days. they said Renee never wanted anything big.

Rome frets over telling PJ the news about the DNA test but Regina reminds him that now isn't the time and PJ will understand.

Rome gives the eulogy at his mom's funeral. He also starts putting the dirt on her grave and all the guys including PJ help him bury her silently.

Rome promised his mother to work things out with his father. He has a tough time after the funeral and Eddie saves him from awkward talk with other mourners and PJ gives him some comfort later on. After Rome leaves, PJ finds the DNA test, reads the results, and takes it.

Rome talks to his father and they watch old videos. He finds out that a fond memory he had was his father not his mother. They both agree that they have to do better and that they'll need to lean on each other after Renee's death.

Delilah cancels Eddie's plans with Charlie. Katherine suspects she did it on purpose, but Eddie doesn't believe it. But then when he's ending Sophie's guitar lessons she tells him that Delilah is planning on taking all of them to France for the summer.

He talks it over with Katherine and then later asks Delilah about it at the funeral. She's dismissive of it and claims she's done all she could to make things easier for him. Eddie asks if his name is on the birth certifcate and she says no. Katherine informed him that if he's not listed, Delilah could do as she pleases, but she's willing to advocate for him on this.

Delilah vents to Regina about it, and Regina tells her that real friends tell each other what they need to hear not what they want to hear. Regina also wonders if Delilah is planning the trip out of spite.

Later Delilah approaches Katherine to talk about it. It gets a bit heated again, and Katherine reminds Delilah that she helped her before, and that she's a good lawyer. She wanted Delilah to sign the paper changing the birth certifcate but Delilah refuses.

Katherine says she can fight it, and Delilah tells her to be a good person.

Delilah bumps into Mitch when she's leaving Rome's house. He tells her that he was looking for PJ and Delilah pieces it goether. She asks Rome and Regina about PJ being Barbara Morgan's son, and they tell her that he's Jon's son too.

Rome reassures Regina that he's sad but he's not sad enough for her to be concerned.

Maggie gets into a fellowship in England she didn't tell Gary about. He doesn't want her to leave, but he concedes and supports her even though it will take her away for the summer.

Regina finds out that Gary got fired from work for missing so many days taking care of Maggie, but he tells her not to say anything.

Sophie is mad at PJ for rejecting her kiss and tells Delilah she cannot wait to go to France.

A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 8 Quotes

Gina: I really need to talk to you about something.
Delilah: I'm sorry if I've been a little short with you, it's just I've been feeling really ganged up on about all this Charlie stuff.
Gina: I hear that, but-
Delilah: I don't understand how all of a sudden you would take Eddie and Katherine's side. You're my best friend.
Gina: I know, D. I don't want you to feel that way, but being a best friend is not about telling you what you want to hear. Sometimes it's telling you what you need to hear. Which is why this really difficult.

Rome: Maybe PJ will be excited.
Gina: To learn his parents have been lying to him since the day he was born? Totally.
