We were already swooning at the serenade, but as soon as Barry pulled out the ring, we were crying, too. But in the best way. Because what's better than a musical proposal? A musical proposal where Iris says "yes" without hesitating. We're still hitting rewind on this one.
How does one cap off being trapped in a musical? If you're Barry Allen, you go home to your girlfriend, and serenade her. Judging by the look on Iris' face as he began to sing, all was about to be forgiven. We're swooning right alongside Ms. West.
Detective West must have been busy at the office. While his alter ego had plenty to do, Joe arrived after the action finished. He was amused to hear about Barry's adventures. And to learn that his son could sing.
We're happy to see these two on the same page again. But Kara makes it clear to her on-again boyfriend that he better not ever lie to her again. Or she'll drop a mountain on him. We think Mon-El will take her advice.
The villain of the story...wasn't a villain at all. Music Meister wanted to teach Barry and Kara a lesson about love. That's why Iris and Mon-El were able to save them. A bit of a risky move, but a nice twist on the musical ending.
Barry and Kara are slipping away after being shot in the gangsters' war. Iris professes her love as Mon-El apologizes to Kara once more. They each seal their promises with a kiss. The spell is broken, and everyone wakes up in the lab.
Barry and Kara thought they saved the day. But since they were still trapped, they decided to finish the musical with an original number. Watching them make it up on the spot, while tap dancing, left us grinning from ear to ear.
After convincing Iris and Mon-El to tell the truth, Barry accompanied Iris home, and learned not only was Joe her father, so was Stein! Needless to say, Barry's shocked reaction led the men (and Iris) to jump to the wrong conclusion about his motives. Barry reminded them that he loved musicals.
Our superheroes received quite a shock when they find the alternate versions of Iris and Mon-El locked in a romantic embrace. It turned out the two were in love and hiding it from their mobster father's. Kara's "gross" said it all.
Tasked with finding a gangster's daughter, Barry and Kara track down Iris' alter ego. Fearing the worst, Barry prepares to kick the door in. But Supergirl's not willing to stand back. A quick debate about gender equality leads to them agreeing to do it together.
Cisco [to Wally]: We win and we lose as a team. I'm coming with you. J'onn: Me too. Cisco: Look, J'onn. I respect this whole special agent situation you've got going on. But this problem right here needs someone with... J'onn: [transforms to his Martian form] Cisco: ...green skin and a sick ass cape. J'onn: Call me the Martian Manhunter. Mon-El: I think you'll find that J'onn's a lot more than just a pretty face.
Barry [singing]: I'm your super friend. Your super friend. I'll be there in the nick of time if you're ever in a spot. Kara [singing]: And if not there in time, you can just go back in time and give it another shot! Barry: I'm actually not supposed to do that anymore.
