    Becoz JP has inherited her fapping of Tonkin from KW. Hayley was an extremely pointless character, I think they brought her in just to save ratings for the show - to get fans of Tonkin to watch TVD just for her....

    Tonkin is great actress.

    Then again so is C.Accola, Sebastian Roche, David Anders and Lauren Cohan - does not matter that most of them ahd INCREDIBLY shitty characters in the show. 

    Tonkin is awesome. TVD's writing is at fault if her character is bad.

    Apparently, the terrible idea for this spin-off came from the president of the CW, he was the person who suggested it and convinced Plec to do it (that guy is even more stupid than Julie, isn't he?).

    Also, doesn't that confirm the show will get picked up no matter how fans react to the backdoor pilot? Or will Mr President reject his own idea? lol

     

    I still think they won't make it past season 1 though. Spin-offs are rarely successful (let's keep Josh Whedon out of this) and after reading various fan reactions, I already see more frustration than excitement about this one. Angry people everywhere lol.

     

    The way things are going, Plec will be dealing with three shows next season and she will fuck all three of them up.

    Might as well take Candice off the show, too now because you know she will be reduced to one minute screen time (if at all) and it will consist of Forwood sex *vomits*. Love or hate Klaroline, at least it gives Caroline a chance to speak her mind and for a brief moment revert to bitchy, feisty Caroline that I love. But when a ship/character becomes too popular and even overtake the main characters/ships then I guess the writers must put a stop to it.

    if it was another show, I would think the spin-off news means the originals will be written off the show and won't come back either way, but with TVD I can already see them retconning themselves in case the spin-off won't pick up.

    Tell that to star trek. Spin offs work when there's a feasible premise, enough lore and world-building elements and good character cast. TVD has neither of those things.

    How did Forwood help in her character development? Tyler: Let's have sex Caroline: Okay *takes clothes off* Tyler: Help me distract Klaus Caroline: Then we can have sex? Tyler: You know it   Like it or not, Caroline had a lot of attention on her due to the Klaroline storyline, more than she had with Forwood. I would say her popularity was on par with Elena and Klaroline even beat Delena in the polls sometimes. Forwood never (and never will) came even close to beating DE/SE or even rivaling the main ships in popularity. But I think that's the writers' intention, to sadly keep Caroline in the background. She was becoming too popular with Klaroline.
