    Reviving this thread because:

    1. According to writers , Charlotte will most likely start to idolise and even copy or help emily and will eventually be either next "victoria" or next "emily thorne" once she finds out the truth about Emily's real identity and other stuff.
    2. The finale, titled Reckoning, will have a car crash and deaths deaths deaths.

    What a great episode!

     

    Grayson family sure is messed up. EVERYONE in there is just so messed up and Emily is no better, but at least she is justified.

     

    Badass episode all around with very badass ending.

    I find Emily's development fascinating. 

    Emily started as smug person playing a game of sorts, but through the show we saw her resort to more and more drastic measures. 

    First she just did usual manipulations, identity fraud and more "light" stuff. Then she added kidnapping to her list of her crimes. And blackmail. And breaking-and-entering. Concealing evidence. Concealing murder attempts, concealing murder, etc.Now she has outright beaten up a person physically.  

    Emotionally and personality wise, she clearly went a lot more devious and started taking things more personally and stuff started to phase her less. 

    Goal wise while her starter plans had more focus on bringing her targets to justice(in her own understanding of it), her newest plans are less about justice and more about inflicting hurt, pain and suffering to her targets. 

    I think its refreshing. 

    99% of revenge stories out there start at the highpoint and go on and on and on about redemption and character softening as the whole "ice queen facade" falls.

    In emily's case its an opposite. She is showing more emotions, but her methods are getting more drastic and dangerous.

    She already unleashed hell upon them for what they did, but now, that she found out the truth about David, whens he is done,there will be nothing but a scorched earth left where hamptons resort was standing. 

     

    What are your thoughts on Nolan? 

    I'd say he MIGHT be Emily's half-brother or something like that.  He does seem to have a huge connection to this all. He might be just idolising David, though. 

     

    As strange as it is, Nolan is the moral compass of the show.
