actually, i was pretty much open to both SE and DE in s1.i really liked DE bonding scenes but then all that crap about his sleeping with isobel and all that crap came to the fore and no..i just couldnt "ship" em.

@Amie i don't usually don't mind cheesy scenes or dances but imo tvd doesn't do them properly and i just don't feel the chemistry between DE.that dance scene is right up there with the SE motorbike scenes in terms of cheesiness and stupidity.lol

also not to be shallow but omg what is the deal with Elena's hair???i didnt think it was possible to make it anymore straighter.just adds to her boringness i guess lol

I don't get why Damon sleeping with Isobel is such a big deal. The fact that she gave birth to Elena doesn't mean she's her mother. Elena's mother is the woman who raised her. Elena didn't know about Isobel until much later. And Damon slept with her long before he knew Elena.

and lol the hair.. I was rewatching some scenes from s1 and her hair was so much better. Now it's so flat and ugly. At least her clothes are a little prettier. I liked the dress she was wearing in the last episode.

The only thing I can remember from that episode is me feeling like I want to strangle that string quartet for ruining Coldplay's songs.

The only thing Coldplay sounds for me ireminds me of of cats getting strangled, uhhhh.

Did not even know their songs were in that episode. Gods how i hate that band.

I actually prefer the episode where Damon showed up with Caroline to Elena's house for dinner and that conversation they had about katherine and how Elena said she was sorry to Damon - ten times more meaningful for this couple than their dancing scenes or motel kisses.

I love that scene, but it was still with both parties being insincere. The dance emphasized the whole "okay this is weird, but in the nice kind of way" chemsitry they had through S1.

It was a cheese fest, but it was a brilliantly executed cheese fest with perfect soundtrack and actual cinematography(also known as the thing this show does not have otherwise)

Yep it would mean nothing to S1 Elena, but for Elena of S2 and onwards its way beyong her messianic morality.

Yeah. S1 Elena actually LOOKED like someone who used to be quite extravagant and beautiful in terms of clothing, but was intentionally "toning it down" to fit the image/illusion she wants herself to be. Then came S2 and uhhh....

I don't think there's any other show where the lead actress is hated with as much passion as Elena. Deservingly though. Lol. The show has to be bad if one feels absolutely nothing for the leads of the show at all.

But the thing is that Elena is not hated. Most people love her and worship her. A few bunch like us in here don't like her at all.

^actually hatred against elena has been increasing over last season. The only ones defending her or liking her are hardcore elena fans(who most likely think bella from Twilight is the best thing ever) and hardcore de/se shippers.

Everyone else either:
1. Ignores her.
2. hates her with passion.

All I see is "poor Elena she lost everything blah blah blah". But maybe that's because the majority of TVD fans are DE/SE shippers??? I don't know. But I'm glad to hear that there's more hate towards her.
