     When creating a spin off its A VERY BAD IDEA to take a huge part of already established characters. One or two - okay, more - and its nto as good.

     Spin off generally needs to attract NEW audience as well as retain the old and attracting the NEW audience with characters that are already established is...quite impossible. 

     And let's be frank, Kol has the depth of Jonah family of S2 - if there's ONE original who is throw-away, its him.

     And TVD only gets rid of throw-away characters.

     So yeah, I could see on why they would not want to bring A LOT of existing characters to spin off, but the kill off that happened smells just like them trying to deny the undeniable truth of plot armor dominance in tvd.

     We have this big thing with resurrection going on so I don't know why she'd just flat out spoil that's the last of him. And no one but her is confirming this, I was hoping that Nate would have interviews.

     AS I said before - plot will resurrect those chars, they will be EEEVIL for a while cause drama, then bonnie will resurrect everyone who ever died, steffie and elena will get a sugary wedding and the show will end. 

     As for overcrowding - there's a reason why Whedon started ats with ONLY TWO known characters at first - its generally VERY hard to give a proper amount of attention to more than three or four characters at once.

     @Flora I wouldn't call it a big thing.Shane just mentioned it in passing.Everyone'll probably forget about it when Silas actually appears.Speaking of Silas,am i the only one who pictures him as The Mummy?srsly i can't get it out of my head.

     Shane didn't really just mention it casually, he mentioned it twice sounding like some nutcase, in 4x09 and 4x11. I just think it's obv a main char will die and come back

     I just think it's obv a main char will die and come backAnd TVD will reach even more ridiculous depths of bad writing with that. Meh. EVEN SUPERNATURAL took five seasons before they started casually killing and bringing back characters as if it was no big deal. (then again it took Heroes half-a-season)

     Its obvious that they will come back wrong and it will be the tv show(shitty) version of malachi bugs from the books.
