Klaroline or Forwood?
So I wondered, are there more Klaroline or Forwood shippers here?Posted 10/21/2012 11:34:41 AM #
If you check out the polls here, it's Klaroline. But in the forum, it's a tie. MMMMMMMM KLAROLINEEEEE YESSSSSSPosted 10/21/2012 2:44:30 PM #
Klaroline. Hotter than Borwood. FactPosted 10/21/2012 3:09:13 PM #

I don't ship Klaroline in a romantical sense, but I do enjoy their interactions. Caroline is just that awesome with both guys.Posted 10/21/2012 3:33:22 PM #
Pft Tyler lost me when he said "grief sex is healthy." I know Klaus is a douche but I guess I expected more from Tyler, though honestly I wasn't surprised. Nice 5 second hero scene thoughPosted 10/21/2012 3:42:12 PM #
If we are talking about S1 to start-of-s3 then forwood ftw. Its pretty much the only pairing that actually makes sense and is awesome...well, was, since, since mid-S3 all they do is have sex and plec completely ruined both characters.
KC is....ewww, creepy and with horrible implications. Klaus should have stayed a villain(well, should have established himself as a villain since he did absolutely nothing in the show). The "relationship" is creepy, makes no sense, has no reason to exist and pretty much degrades both characters into shit since any positive interaction towards Klaus is against Caroline's entire character arc and klaus is well...1000 year old serial killer who was supposed to be villain but now is painting cutey paintings and being all wimpy?
Then there's the fact that Caroline responding to Klaus would have very unfortunate real-world implications about stalking, as well as implication that if a girl says "no" its entirelly okay to start a crusade of obsessive behavior towards her. Sorry, but nope.Posted 10/21/2012 3:43:17 PM #
That's your problem, you expect this show to give implicative messages, but that is not their intention. There are a LOT of stupid fans, but there's others who are able to separate reality from television/fantasy. If a girl truly believed that relationships like klaroline or delena, hell even stelena, were possible in real life, then she's an idiot, but if she's shipping either of those and fully aware it's just fiction that wouldn't make sense off the screen, she's fine.Posted 10/21/2012 4:15:12 PM #

implications can be unintentional. That changes nothing.
The person making it can see nothing wrong with it - I am sure the people responsible for advertising few decades back genuinely saw nothing wrong with idea of women only being fit as housewives, nor those who still make quite sexist ads see anything wrong or want to imply something.
It changes nothing. Its still there.

Except that the show itself is based upon our world and not in some alien landscape where logic is meaningless.
Every work of fiction has ideas, worldviews. Its there to bring a message - that's the basis of writing ANYTHING. And the very fact that the writers are NOT portraying this kind of behavior as wrong, s wrong.
Its Edward/bella all over again and all it does is shape a generation of airheads who then go up in arms to defend people like Chris Brown or Daniel Tosh.
THose two characters have no reason to interact or even LIKE each other, because, as I said before, Caroline is not Elena. She has a realistic personality and very realistic character growth thus from her, I would except a realistic reaction to such things.
On other side we have Klaus, a 1000 year old serial killer vampire psycho who is suddenly interested in a ~20 year old schoolgirl? WAT.
It does not make sense either way.Posted 10/21/2012 4:39:19 PM #
Yeah, it doesn't. Mmmm can't wait.Posted 10/21/2012 4:49:33 PM #
