GROWING PAINS Thread!!!
i liked the stelena scenes.
Damon was just a petulant child and stefan was just a whiny douchebag.
I actually thought Elena was fairly ok in this episode my major issue was the salvatore bros trying to make elena's transition all about themselves and their man pain
I can't believe the salvatores are implying matt has to earn the right to live, i mean really.I mean if we are to decide on who is to continue walking the planet, surely those two would be one of the first candidates for a stake through the heart.
I dunno where people get attempted rape from that. What i heard he was in Tyler's body, trying to get hot with Caroline?
if it went past that, Klaus would be responsible for rape of Both Caroline and Tyler, not counting of violation of privacy of both of them.
I don't think that Faith raped Riley either in "Superstar" episode. . .
She did, as well as raping Buffy.
^hell they both even acknowledge that when Buffy was trying to take revenge upon her in LA, which is why Buffy found Angel knowing what happened and still defending Faith from her, horrifying.
welll to be frank, this season was overly hyped up by the network as "rebooting tvd" and huge promises were thrown around, complete with actual marketing(they even spent some money on promo posters this year, which is unheard of CW)
Yet despite all of that, the reports indicate that the episode only managed to get the viervercount of the last season premiere
(and how many viewers can a show really lose in a season)
If to look at TVD - Around a million viewers.
. I heard the ratings for Arrow and beauty and the beast were good as well. Did anyone bother to check it out? How was it?
Arrow was great. A bit Batman-Begins-ish, but great. Certainly one of better CW shows in a while. And even if it would go down in quality, having C.Cassidy on the screen is always a plus.
Beauty and The Beast...welll...trainwreck. At least now CW can market TVD as "TVD - Better than Beauty and The Beast". Seriously, it was nonsensical mess, plotlines made no sense, it was filmed as if was made in mexico and was a soap opera, although storylines and characters frankly most likely ARE better in soap operas than here.
K.Kreuk was even more awful than in Smallville and the show overall just stunk of sexism and promotion of abusive relationships, bringing in the same creepy sense of reward-entitlement that plagues TVD
and yes, S5 will most likely happen, no matter the ratings, because CW will most likely want to get a syndication deal for TVD, ala GG.
First, Nicholas Sparks can actually write.
Second, I loved this comment at TVLINE:
Honestly, Elena has gone through a lot but so has every else. She’s ungrateful which is the thing that really gets me. Bonnie has lost SO much to help Elena. She lost her grams, lost her mom, nearly lost her life last night and Elena only seems to talk to her when she needs something. Caroline DIED, she DIED, as collatoral damage in Katherine’s war against Stefan. Matt lost his sister, Jeremy has been through just as much as Elena but we don’t see him playing the victim all the time. Instead Elena just storms around blustering about how she is having Jeremy compelled for his own good. I don’t see many good qualities in Elena. She’s a very selfish character who plays a martyr when it is convenient. She makes terrible decisions and Stefan just lets her! She is just so grating. I think both Stefan and Damon are too good for her.
What really pisses me off about TVD (among many things) are the continuous bouts of Elena worship at the lamp post altar. Almost every character spends the majority of the time trying to find ways to protect Elena at the expense of actually having something called a life. Once again, the show became about "damsel in distress" Elena and what all the characters will risk to help her.
It's gets fucking old. The mysteries of TVD require numerous questions:
Will Elena ever get a new facial expression?
Will Damon stop pining over a lamp post?
Will Matt die already?
Will Bonnie become more than a plot device to save Elena?
Will we EVER see a character of another race (other than plot device Bonnie) live beyond three episodes?
Will Plec put down her muffins and stop fangirling over stelena moments?
