GROWING PAINS Thread!!!
So, the episode was not as good as I thought it would be and believe me I had pretty low expectations.
I love Rebekah. She's perf. I liked Damon. But I do believe that he shouldn't have done that to Matt. Yes Matt is useless, but it wasn't his fault that Stefan saved him and not Elena. Stefan needs to shut up. Ugh he's soooo annoying. He was the one who made the decision to save Matt and not Elena and now he's crying about it and trying to fix his shit. He annoyed me so much in this episode. Elena blah blah blah... All the Stelena scenes were LOL.. I mean they were sitting on a rooftop watching the sunrise. LMFAO.. I liked Trevino as Klaus. He was good. But i still think Matt Davis was better as Klaus. The Klaus/Rebekah scene was good. But Klaus is being an asshole. About the council, I don't even know. What the fuck was that? And Bonnie. I'm glad that she can't fix everything, but the thing with her grandma was dumb. She's already dead. How was that a consequence?

Which I guess has been major problem with this show for me.
Consequences here only exist when writers need them Its horribly HORRIBLY inconsistent and rules are ill-defined - one day Bonnie gives plot armor to half the cast by reviving Germy out of nowhere, the next she can't unvamp a person bedcause "CONSEQUENCES".
So they made her grandma, come back and get "deader" after babbling something about consequences? Gods this show is beyond ridiculously nonsensical now.
just finished watching the ep - it was better than I expected. TBH, after last season, I was expecting one of the same. my first point is Damon's attitude towards Matt. I was never a Matt fan but didn't hate the guy either - he's one of the characters I don't really care about. But Damon was a dick (and Stefan was dick-ish, ranting about how he's alive only because of Saint Elena). Matt was unconscious in that car; Elena wanted to sacrifice her life once again and Stefan acted on behalf of all of us and let her die. If anything, Meredith's super skills are to blame. As Stavroula pointed out, Trevino pulled off Klaus pretty well. I didn't like him in the s3 finale but he really worked on that bit.
Anyway, I'm not impressed by the premiere and I'm certainly not willing to see yet another seen of Elena crying like a pussy because she stained her chin with blood (as seen in next ep's promo). Still, Plec could do much worse and I trust that by mid-season she won't fail to disappoint us.
Stefan needs to shut up. Ugh he's soooo annoying. < my line for the last three seasons. Uhhh, he is almost as horrible of a character as Elena herself.
All the Stelena scenes were LOL.. - Were they ever anything else? Its always rainbows, ponnies and sugar for those two, neverming the fact that there's not even a buildup for them to even be together.

If thats in a promo for next ep, then its a misdirection, since according to spoilers: ELENA CONTINUES TO BE (surprise surprise) a VERY special snowflake and she can only eat certain kinds of blood, thus she litterally pukes bunnies.
Writers will never allow her to stain her hands or do ANYTHING "wrong" or anything that has consequences.
gods, my post cut off:
Writers will never allow her to stain her hands or do ANYTHING "wrong" or anything that has consequences, so of course if she has to eat humans it is because there obviously is no other way and Elena is not at fault for that.
Shit like that is exactly what made me go "fuck this show I am out".
And LOL, give it a break, this wasn't "Let's save Vampire Elena", don't take things out of context.I think you're the one thats taking my quote out of context. What i meant was not the episode being about saving vamp Elena because, as you so brilliantly pointed out, she wasn't a vamp yet. I meant the entire season will turn into one big "saving vamp Elena" from all things supernatural and the council. Because lets face it, this show has nothing else to show us. I can see it now, the brothers will exhaust all options in going to the extremes in her feding habits. She will never be taught real moderation as Damon will want her to feed on everthing on 2 legs and Stefan will want her to feed on everything on 4 legs. The council and/or hunters will SOMEHOW determine that Elena is the key to wiping out all vamps (because she is after all the alpha and omega of this show) and target her 99.9% of the time. So basically, there is absolutely no change in the plotline. She is still the damsel in distress, vamp mode or not and everyone will be lining up to throw themselves infront of stakes to save her.
I understand now, what you meant. Personally, I still hope they don't go there which is why I'm waiting before judging.
And I wasn't precisely quoting you, since it's all over the comment section, I just wanted to discuss it here.
I swear this is what my reaction 80% of the time while watching that ep.
and for fuck sakes stop kidnapping rebekah and caroline leave my bbys alone
what else, lol I thought my girl, Flora will shat bricks about Tyler/Klaus & Caroline. God watching that was so weird;.Can't wait for Michael Collado's trollfest.
Seriously at Elena's reactions made me trolloloolol and her smiling got me scared like I'm watching a classic hitchcock movie. Her creepy little smils deserve a cap
LOL and this is 10% of my reaction
and the other 10% is this
I am horrified that someone is capable of writing uber shitty plotlines that has no complete fucking sense other than Stephanie the oversexed up mormon Meyer. lol because the ending of this episode was somehing I really don't understand.
And trust me, Miss Piggy/Plec I am not amused with your shit. Even using Klaus in the end doesn't change the fact that you really suck Stephanie Meyer's imaginary left nut.
