(S)he doesn't care about who he has to kill to get what he wants, no humanity left, danger to Elena"- sums up every. single. big villain they have had on this show. Don't forget the "what s(he) wants s(he) always gets",this line has literally been applied to all the villians.lol. for some reason i think this Silas or ketzia might posses Bonnie for a while or she might become thier prodigy, just a feeling.
I hope the writers don't mess up this Jeremy thing. I think it's a great SL for him, and i see it with great POTENTIAL. Problem is writers are known for ruining characters and storylines potential. . .
No matter how selfaware Katherine is/was it still wouldn't make sense for her to suddenly change her style over the course of 1 season. She had minimal screentime in S3, so it doesn't really matter to me. Character wise, she is a dull blanket, but she dresses fine, always have.
Buffy was selfaware too, she didn't change style for no reason. She ussually had the same style for a season, then it changed. I specifically remember S7 where she looked quite similar each time she was on screen. Anywho, it makes sense for Buffy to frequently change looks, since she was adolescent, becomming a woman. She was in that age, so ofcause her style changed. Katherine has been the same age for 500 years. No reason why she would for no good reason change her looks. Especially not when she look so hot in what she wears.
Glory was also selfaware. She never changed looks either, beside that ridiculous dress in the last episode of S5, but that was because of the ritual or whatever.
People keep changing their looks all the time and please don't tell me a girl like Katherine wouldn't keep up with the trends with btw keeps changing every six months.i'm not saying she should do that but her style has become a little old.but i guess it makes sense acc. to the timeline of the show since its been only one year there.
In the real world, the trend might, not in TVD world. I for sure haven't notice an overall change in trend in TVD world.
still think if they didn't hype their villians so much, they wouldn't end up as such disappointment,
they would still disappoint. ITs a general trend with EVERY character in this show - withe very second of screentime, writers fuck the characters up more and more.
Villains are effective for first few episodes BECAUSE of the hype, but then get ruined because writers are simply incapable of following through.
Instead of actually making them into proper antagonists, they start to give them random romances, pet-the-dog moments and all that crap, to the point that all of that starts to outweigh any sort of vilain-stuff they did.
The show keeps TELLING us how "ruthless" or "merciless" they are - but we never see. Hell, look at Klaus what is his RELEVANT killcount? One, and even that does not count since aunt jenna apparantly stopped existing in everyone's minds.

Also - Katherine has no style. Its litterally "let's take Elena, curl her hair and add a leather jacket on top, done". Considering Katherine lost ANY SORT OF SEMBLANCE OF PERSONALITY already, her blandness is even more noticeable.
Also no sane person wears exact same outfit for years and if writers can't write dialogue good enough(or N.Dobrev is not up to the part) to separate those characters WITHOUT giving them "uniforms" then that's their problem.
You have to consider that 3 seasons were like 1 year in time. I don't think people change their style every few months. Like do you change your entire wardrobe every 5 months? I don't. And I like Katherine's style. It's dark and the heels make her look sexy and her hair is perfect. I wouldn't like Katherine wearing cute dresses or colors like Caroline does.
