YAY!!!A thread to hate on Elena <333 LOLMy problem with Elena isn't that she is a selfish,self absorbed,inconsiderate,sanctimonious hypocritical "Trampire" ;) with a God complex.My problem is that no one and i mean no freaking one except the female antagonists seems to realise this.For some reason everyone seems to think that she is a selfless,caring Mother freaking Teresa and worships the gound she walks on and worse she seems to have deluded herself into thinking that too.Thats why she can't even imagine a world where she isn't perfect and everyone isn't falling at her feet,hence the weird reaction when Stefan(FINALLY)told her off.I'm mean she seriously looked like a retard when she just kept blinking and nodding repeatedly when Stefan told her he didn't love her anymore.LOL

She's a mess now because of the sire bond, Plec would never mess with her Mary Sue characterization.
Gurl,J.P fucked her characeter looong before that.In s2 to be precise when she decided to give her suicidal tendencies and a god complex.Her character's just gone downhill ever since.to the point that its not possible to watch TVD without wanting to bitchslap her a million times whenever she opens her mouth

Yeah i started to hate Elena in season 2. The hole sacrifice myself thing was meant to seem noble and awesomely selfless but it had the opposite effect for me. No 17 year old is that selfless and divine and the fact that they tried to portray her that way just cements the Mary Sue claims. The perfect reaction to a scenario like that would have been her acting out and being reckless. She should have been like "after all the shit me and my family have been through i still have to die, like what the fuck am i living for anyway, fuck it. Lets just get high, depressed and wasted all at the same time", But no. Immediately we get " i have to be the saviour of MF. Tiss my destiny". Buffy's reaction to realising that she was prophesied to die was EPIC!!!!

Lol,i agree,she should have atleast freaked out/run away,taken a beat and then tried to process everything that happend/was happening/was going to happen to her,(which was a looot and that too in span of just a few months,that alone is scary and depressing as fuck.)but no she was like i'm elena the warrior princess,i'll save everyone.lol
and after she was done wallowing in self pity,she should have done everything in her power to save herself,like everyone else was trying to do but no,first,she was soo passive-agressive in those attempts,i was convinced she'd given up and then obviously she just gave up and accepted her unavoidable death and attempted to cover it up as bravery lol.
Another reason to hate her were her excuses for not wanting to be a vampire.I mean they were pretty good ones but invalid after everything that happened in s1,infact i think she should've wanted to become a vampire to save herself from all of the supernatural crap going o around her.and her line "i love you but i don't know what love is"had me facepalming so hard,i think my palm got imprinted on my face lol,like wtf does that even mean.illiterate bitch,lol
