    Meh, when I think about it, Elena wanting some original family member to be dead is fucking welcome thing, but, its yet another thing TOO FUCKING LATE. Had she had that attitude towards them in S2 after Jenna, I would most likely have stuck with the show. Now? It goes against her mary sue character development making her a total fucking boring mess.

    You see I'm not biased with Originals, I can admit that they're too pretty to die, but if they're pointless then they're pointless. Back in season 3 I would have been sad if Kol died, but he didn't do enough for me to be that devastated, I found him to be a filler Original. In season 4 he is harassing the whole group including his siblings, and being the only character who isn't a dumb ass about the consequences of Silas. He walked back into town the way Elijah first walked into town, which was pretty crazy and badass. The whole promo for this week is just about killing him, so he's a pretty big deal now and I actually love the way they're writing him. Hopefully JP is getting a boner from Nate, that way I can see him on the spinoff.

    a lot of what I heard about her I would have appreciated the fuck out of IF it was done all the way in S2. now? sorry what I hear makes her character into even a bigger mess than ever

    She's a mess now because of the sire bond, Plec would never mess with her Mary Sue characterization. It's the nost important thing.

    Had Elena in S2/S3:

    • broken up with stefie not taking all of his bullshit with puppy-love eyes.
    • actually reacted to shit happening without her best bella swan impression.
    • Actually entertained the idea of Damon as love interest.
    • Kicked out the brother she is not dating out of her house.
    • been a vampire.
    • decided to be on "kill Klaus/originals/whatever" team anyway even after finding out the whole "bloodline death" shitplot, because, fuck it, they ruined her life completely. 

     

     I would most likely still be watching the show and might even have liked her. 

    Because that is all the shit I WOULD expect a real Elena to do, not the doormat I have been seeing for three fucking seasons.
