He also treated his brothers like crap.
Misogyny is basically violence against women. It kinda has to be in a gender specific way. I.e.: him snapping Rebekah's neck all the time. She's the only one he does that to. His words when killing women. The fact that he usues violence against men as well doesn't mean he's not a misogynist.
HOpefully he has a change of heart. He did help Rebekah this past episode. And it doesn't seem like he wants to make any sacrifices anytime soon lol
Misogyny is not violence against women. It's the hatred and dislike of women based on the fact that they are women. It CAN manifest as violence(and probably will), but just because a male cause physcial harm to a female doesn't mean he is a misogynist. If a hypothetical female spy gets totured for information by a male, that doesn't make him misogynist either.
And no, causing harm to males as well as females doesn't excuse one of mysogynism, but it's a harsh word to toss around. But based solely on the physical harm Klaus has caused Rebekah(which is what is being disputed here) there simply isn't enough to say he has a hatred of women.
At least that was how i read it, but maybe i missed something or misunderstood something in the posts?
Yeah, so he's equally violent against women and men. But there is a misogynist bent to this actions and words. Which sucks, but yeah, he's Klaus. And anyways, he's not even the worst of it, in that area, on TVD. Damon takes the cake, hands down.
Well, he certainly has a lot of mummy issues...
Klaus is a cold and calculating, equal opportunity asshole, much like a mob boss. A misogynist? I don't think so. The vast majority of true misogynists will probably never be violent with woman. Misogyny has many faces other than overt aggression toward woman. For example, Charlie Sheens character on 2 1/2 men is a misogynist.
I'd call him miso since his house at one point was full of maids in the skimpiest uniforms ever, and his line about the symmetry of his sacrifice being all women. I don't think he's any worse to women than men though, when Jeremy got that hunters mark he treated him like an object or possession, even saying "I've come to collect Jeremy"
at least nik doesn't need to rape girls
