Also OMG Al, I don't think we've ever spoken directly, but your icon is like the best thing I've ever seen.

Hardly anyone is not a fan of that icon :)

P bb! I've been lurking of late and loving your work I must say. You and FA must be over the moon at how great that Db ep was.

Hi <3 Did you catch the DB bits? It was so lovely, I couldn't believe that was actually happening on Gossip Girl these days. And that Savage interview! Flying pigs and stuff.

At the moment I'm just trying hard not to get my hopes up.

i don't see how any of those examples can even compare to what this is, lol. i just don't think rolling on the floor is a blair thing to do, call me crazy.

No, the point of the IP, the thing that is so gross about it, is not the pimping only, it's the betrayal. If Chuck had asked Blair to do it for him and she'd have gone through with it, I still would think it's awful and not exactly the portrayal of a healthy relationship; but the thing that was so bad about it, the thing that hurt Blair that much was the manipulating.

but she manipulated him in a similar way in 3x06. he'd do it as well if she asked him to. now, i'm not saying it's the same thing, since the gay kiss was on a much lower level, but she did betray him like that too. and she wasn't even in a screwed up state of mind like chuck was.. (like, her mother wasn't alive all of sudden after 18 years and didn't screw her over because she was in love with her uncle who she loathes)

...So, you're saying that Blair sleeping with Jack before justified Chuck's desicion? Why exactly?

because i don't think chuck ever really got over her sleeping with him, and in his mind he might have thought she was attracted to him or something, so that's why i think he didn't think it'd be such a big deal for her to sleep with him again.

well, to me, she's a pimp, so it is similar, lol. i know there was the manipulating in the IP etc, but i still think she wouldn't pimp anyone for her own benefit if she was horrified by it.

and i meant that blair slept with jack willingly before, so i'm sure that was one of the reasons why chuck decided to go through the IP.

WORD.

I know, me too, P. But I had to tun eback in for DB.

Eh, but the gay kiss was on such a different level. She also immediately apologized, owned up to her hand in it, and tried to make amends. It was a kiss in public, with not a rapist. That was one of the worst things that she'd ever done no question, but not even in the same universe to me as the IP in terms of lack of regard for the other, and degree of manipulation or waht was being negotiatied.

But if he thought it wasn't a big deal, why the INTENSE EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION with the 'my life is destroyed, I'm the failure my father said I was', scheming against her with his worst enemy, when she was clearly emotionally destroyed. He pulled out all the emotional stops (keyed on her need to rescue him and her love for him) to get her to do it, and he did it for a hotel. Then he blamed her for it. He, to this day, hasn't admitted his fault or part in it, and continues to blame her. I think Chuck doesn't really give a damn about Blair so it was a pretty easy choice for him, but I don't see how it connects at all to the Nate/Blair situation here.

I am with you there actually.   Which is why I refuse to sign on any ship anymore except Derena (even if I fully support Dair as a couple and think they can be amazing together).  Derena for me is a nice quiet ship to have whether they happen or not.   Dan & Blair - the jury is still out in terms of what the writers will do with them.  Not getting my hopes up either.

I don't care about how 'screwed' or 'poor' Chuck is or what his motives are, he is gross and ten dead moms and dads won't excuse what he did, which is still nowhere similar to what Blair did/will possibly do. Why do you even like Chuck/Blair if you obviously hate Blair?

I cant believe the debate about the Chuck Gay Kiss versus the IP is still alive and kicking.

I think we should wait first as to how EXACTLY Blair "pimps" out Nate before we get all judgmental.

I think all Blair fans would love to see Blair icy, in control and then warming up and eventually in love with someone. We're not however pre-hating on the DB scenes when they do show intellectual Blair, fun Blair THUS FAR, which is a huge improvement of what I heard the Chuck/Blair stuff was this season.

Will they be perfect? No. I think all Dair shippers or even Dair friendly people are united in firmly believing the writers will screw them up. However, over a guy who falls for other women and blames Blair for everything that goes wrong in his life, declares war on her, sells her, repeatedly and callously uses her for emotional shoring up while giving little in return, and is unable to be her friend for five minutes--any crimes of Blair seem to pale in comparison and it seems more like peole are searching for things to blame on Blair to equal them up or make these crimes no big deal (and wasn't Eva a writer insert for that fan tendency?) than anything.

Gossip Girl Quotes

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl

Blair: Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It's movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be. Just like your scarf suggests that you'd like to sell used cars.
Dan: Vanessa gave me this scarf.
