lol, so he talked about how SHE cared about him and saved him, not abouthis feelings. and of course he felt indebted that she saved his life.

Its funny how your Chair Blinders distort your way of seeing things.

Yeah, Chuck totally doesnt care about Eva. Just because he took her with him to Paris, wanted to name a foundation on her behalf, and confessed his past sins to her, doesnt mean he has feelings for her, right?  Oh, and he actually declared war on Blair, his alleged one true love, because Blair ran Eva out of town.

Nope, no hint of feelings there.

but well, he wouldn't be saying it if he didn't believe they're meant to be together? and she wouldn't be saying she believes in it as well if she didn't?

They "believed".  But the point is, they're not together now.  They let each other go for now, so just let Chair go.  If they're meant to be they will happen, however contrived and forced that may be, its sure to happen.

The writers have given Chuck two girlfriends...and infinite numbers of hookups. Chuck is apparently the most sexually desired person on the planet. The writers are makign these choices, but they have written Chair as a very bad thing for Blair, IMO at least. There are some signs that they're changing things up.

And word Al on the use of the fast  forward button.

lol, but then when he was ending the war, he didn't even mention eva, in fact he acted like eva leaving was never the reason why he started the war. he pretty much said it was because that was all he and blair had left. he was all "eva who?" during that episode and never mention her again. plus, as far as i'm cocerned, that wasn't real chuck when he was with her. i mean, not a single witty/pervy comment? yeah, no. i'm not blind, i just actually watch the show/the scenes.

he only cared about because she saved his life and felt like he owns her something, and think about if someone saved your life would be mean to them?

LMAOOO. of course DB shippers think CB is forced and contrived. the writers manipulated you nicely. so dan working in fashion is not contrived? chuck and serena both dating someone else so DB are forced to hang out and feel sad over it and eventually hook up is not contrived and forced? lol, good one.

CB is the only consistent story on this show. DB is the random-scenes-once-in-every-6-episodes story ;) until now, of course, when the writers run out of OMG hook ups.

I don't know. Chuck seemed to completely ignore Blair, and vilify her and was all about Eva. I thought most of the Chair shippers were shipping them because Chuck needed to be loved?

Chuck needs attention, but I don't see anything that suggests he cares about Blair as an individual. He easily replaces her with other women, and doesn't think about her at ALL when with them. Blair's the one who is always thinking about him. I dont' see why, as someone who cares about Blair, I should want their relationship, now or ever. He uses her as an emotional slave IMO.

CB has been consistent, but at least over the last season and a half (and some would say longer) it's developing into a consistently ugly one. There's a reason people have responded well to Dair, and Dair filming pics, and that's because Blair has looked happy and free and like she's enjoying herself. It's been a long time.

Well I'm not sure how you arrive at the conclusion the writers have manipulated DB fans into finding CB contrived.  People have been shipping DB since long before they were on the writers' radar.  That sentiment seems mean spirited to be honest.

Anyway, the whole show is contrived.  The IP was a contrived way to inject drama into CB's relationship at a time when there wasn't any conflict between them.  And yes Dan working at a fashion magazine is also contrived.

Uhh, ok?  As each seasons progress, the writers try so hard to produce "EPIC" scenes for Chair and the primary scapegoat are Chuck's issues.  As AL  said The IP was a contrived way to inject drama into CB's relationship at a time when there wasn't any conflict between them.

In the process, they ruined chair, and both chuck and blair's character individually.  Chuck always has to be with a girl first before he realizes he loves Blair.  Meanwhile, Blair always has to pick up after Chuck.  Clean him up, get him to move on with his life, fix his mess and lose her self-respect in the process.

I'm not saying that Dan and Blair working on the same fashion magazine is not contrived.  The writers in general are very inconsistent with the direction of GG.

yeah, no. i'm not blind, i just actually watch the show/the scenes.

Yeah you do.  I see it clearly now.

These games Chuck and Blair play, you see, it gets old with some of the audience.  Its tiring to watch them try to overpower each other, to gain more control over the "relationship" over the other.

Because an honest to goodness relationship is not about power, its about letting that power go.  And Chuck and Blair are both not ready to let that go.  Blair tried to, but Chuck just pushed her aside and so she let her guard up again.  Without Blair or Chuck trying to take the lead and push their pride aside, the CHAIR that we once loved will not happen.  On the other hand, the CHAIR that the writers ruined it to be may happen (Games game games, blahblahblah, epic epic epic - On this note, EPIC is way OVERUSED).

Now, what draws me to Dan and Blair is the prospect of seeing two totally different people get together and discover that they actually are more similar than they thought they would be.  They may not play the "exciting" games that Chair did, but we're all just gonna have to accept the fact that not all relationships are like that of Chair.  In fact, no relationship lasts when its like Chair because with Chair, although they love each other, there are things much more important than that love.

And with that I rest my case.
