21. ~ Chuck & Blair ~ 2.0

    I have kept wondering about why the writers have transformed Chuck into such a dark character in Season 6.

    He is definitely not the same Chuck than in season 4 or specially 5.  And I am not talking only about the spiraling down of the 2 last chapters, this has been a constant from 6x01. Every harsh look, every cold movement seems to be well planned with an intention (for example when he is not able to look at Blair eyes in last chapter, when she appears like the crazy stripper)... he looks so...bitter, so much obsessed, almost insane. Even when we all know how much he loves Blair, he is still cold and hard with her many times,not like in the past.

    For me, this is something deliberate, there must be a reason behind. Maybe they are trying to make a parallelism with the psycopath monster that his father is? Maybe is it a way of showing he is controlling himself not to jump on her and ravish...?

    But I really hope at some point in the two last chapters we will take to see again the "evolved" sweet at moments, fun, caring for people version of Chuck, maybe starting with the farewell scene on 6x09. We do have to see him before the end.

    How have they all ended being so similar to their parents?

    Nate: Fraud and prison

    Chuck: Obsessed with BI and dark, very dark

    Serena: no job or career, just enjoying her money and jumping from one man into another, never alone

    Blair: Divorced, happy second marriage. Loving and spending a lot ot time in Paris/ France. With a Cool and scheming side and being sucessful businesswomen on top of Waldorf Designs.

    Do you remember when Nate and Chuck mentioned this at the very beginning of the show? Well this cannot be a coincidence.

    My theory would be: Gossip GIrl = Arthur

    But there is (at least) 1 weak point: After 1x07, Arthur knew exactly what had happened in the back of the limo, whereas GG did not say anything on that.

     

    Anyway, Gossip Girl could be my next door neighbour, I dont care a s.. about that. Just dont kill Chuck pleeeeaaseeeee...!!!!

    And really, if they kill Chuck, the wedding is a dream, and IF they make our Henry Bass to be a dream... that would be the worst stab ever!!!

    Yes, damn, they are really making us feel nervous!!

    Well, yes they have been selling us the wedding too easy, but what the hell, so are they with Chuck's death.

    If they dare to kill him.... buff. Cant get to imagine that.

    And I have to confess I used to be quite sure about Chuck not dying in the plane crash... but now......... noooo that cant be true, but I hate all these comments around about one of the major  characters dying. Because Bart is just Satan right now, he doesnt count as a main character.

    So that is frightening... I have faith on you, Chuck.

    Oh, now... I have just realized, in the "devastation" scene from the promo (when they are listening to the bad news) Blair is STILL wearing the necklace around her neck!?!?

    I was 100% sure the ring was already in her finger by the time Chuck gets into the plane!

    Arghhh.... Still trying to be positive about the proposal, though.

    Someone has to say something about marriage at some point!!( Call it a proposal). Come one!! a "let's get married" "Blair, Chuck says that you two should get married in a couple of hours", " their friends bringing them and organizing everything. Come on, there must be something, anything!!!! Right now, I would accept and enjoy a proposal even if that is just a phone text saying "Central Park 11:00 am"

    Yeah, you know, when I first read about Bart falling in 6x09 I was sad and thought that was not necessary at all, specially for Chuck. I honestly thought that was a terrible end.

     

    Now? I think I am going to enjoy every second of it!

    (and I hope you all make fan videos  and gifs replaying it once an again)...

    Blair keeping the ring and not throwing it to Chuck's face or acting as a child after his words.

    That was mature to me, that was the OMG moment for me.

    She will still be there for him and will help him out of he hole he is in. That is mature, she has grown.

    Let's see Chuck's reaction, that is more worrying to me and we all know his darkest moments. If he lets her help and does not play the "go away and leave me alone" role, I will be moooost happy.

    Looking forward to 6x08
