@McDanno.....well said, I feel the same. However, I don't think that is going to stop the same people, complaining about the same thing over and over, but I liked that you pointed out what this character has been through. I liked this episode very much. Danny's past is what makes him Danny. I loved the emotions both Scott and Alex have in the scenes they play, very well acted. Thank you Peter Lenkov and the writers for giving reference to 9/11 without exploiting it. We now know what Danny, being a former NJ cop, was doing on that day, and that it was the day he found out about his daughter being born. This character has gone through a lot, and is why he shows so much emotion and worry about the people he cares about. Grace is growing up fast, and both the scenes in the store and at the dance were just adorable, really tugs at the heart strings. Love this show more and more.
(cont.)...As for the story, It was not one of my favorites, although I did like Lee Merriweather's portrayal. I agree that they should have explained more of how and why. I think despite this episode, the writers have layed the foundation of a great season ahead. I know the ratings are down, and that the addition of another show on another network pulled some people away, but no one is running away with the timeslot.
The character of Catherine is being brought along just as she should be. Yes we did not see Kono or Chin as much, but we will in other episodes. Catherine is Steve's girlfriend, she is going to be there with him. I love that she is the female that points things out to Grace. Everytime, we have Kono not in a whole lot of scenes, then someone brings up that they are replacing her. This started in the first season, how many seasons does she have to do before people stop thinking she wants to leave, or they are phasing her out? I want more Kono and Chin, but Steve is the Major character, and Danny is his partner. I'm tired of defending Danny, I think he's great. (Cont.)
It should be interesting to see what happened right before we picked up McG and Hesse in the pilot episode. I love this show also, and hope it lasts many, many season. I like the direction it is headed as well. I love the action, but what drives a show is the character development and history. It's what makes us want to watch more.
I love hating Wofat, and I'm glad to see him every once in awhile, he's a great villan. I'm still hoping that he's not McG's half brother, but if he is, I'll wait to see how they play this before I judge. If they go this way, then its probably a good storyline, but I'm still holding out for another reason Doris let Wofat go. Glad we will get some new shows in the next few weeks, looking forward to all of them.
Celiac's disease has different degrees. Some people are worse off then others, if she does not have it under control as yet, then yeah, that can cause a lot of problems to her system. My sister in-law and her sister both have it, her sister is much worse off, along with allergies, thats why she has to pick and choose where she eats, and still has to carry an epi pen with her. I don't know what Jennifer's condition is, but come on, CBS could have worked around it. Its not like she was one of the Reagans. To stop her from working other places, that is shameful. Yes, there are a lot of other worse diseases, but we aren't her, and unless you know all the facts, I think its shameful of people who judge her. I hope none of you get the same kind of treatment when you are ill, for any reason.
Sorry...I meant I'm glad they are not being fooled by Doris.
Cont....I thought the crime this week was great, I too thought about the father, but its hard to blame the son for his feelings. What kind of mother would risk her child's life, because she was afraid that there would be more people doing the same thing. Loved the headless thing and the way they did it. The writing was good. As I've said before, I don't like Doris particularly, and I am glad that they are being fooled by her, but I love Christine Lahti, and this is an important part of the back of the McGarrett family. Still can't wait until Mary comes into the picture to meet Mama. Chin was a little less this week, there will be more mourning and affects down the line. Very few people show grief every moment. I'm still waiting to see Adam, I hope its soon. Great episode.
I loved this episode. I did not think there was much to complain about, but I knew someone would. Mrs. Clever...I agree, I loved Kono and Danny together, I don't recall much of that since the first season when they were trying to lure the dumb guy to the bar with one of the employees text messages. I still like Steve/Danny, but a little mix up is good.Catherine is played perfectly. Catherine and Steve are boyfriend and girlfriend, of course she is going to stay over. This is reality, which is what a lot of people complain does not happen with this show. Get over it, yes she does help him, so would you.
Cont..... I figured this would be cut off......Chin and Kono went in first, and Catherine was back-up. I was not thrilled with Steve not telling Danny what Catherine is in his life, but Danny is going to continue to point out what she does for him, because thats part of his snarkyness, and someone needs to point out to Steve that he needs a woman in his life, as Steve has done to Danny in the past. You figure that Adam would be a conflict between Chin and Kono, even though he saved Kono, I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Love Adam, but still don't know if he is actually trying to change the business.
