Hi Jim, You make some good points about McG being transported to a scene or Kono being a robot. That would not be true to the show, and would probably get a different crowd watching and would not last long.

My complaint is that every single episode someone, not just you, but someone points out some probability with reality. Its done on all the shows, but they seem to be pointed out on H50 more then any other show and yet its not any more than another other show. Some of what is pointed out, actually could happen. I can only speak for myself, but I don't just sit there and say its only a TV show so its fine. If I am entertained, why would I care so much that it probably would not happen in real life.

(cont.) As for Doris, I agree with the others that say, we are not suppose to like her. That's the character, she is complex, and a little psycho, she has been on the run for 20 years, how do you think she survived. Let's face it, there is a little of her in Steve, maybe not to the same extreme, but he didn't exactly do the legal thing especially in season 1, that everyone says they long for. But of course if we go back to that, they will complain about the reality again.

As for Catherine, I agree, she needs to be at work, or at least explain why she is not there. Otherwise, I love what they have done with her character. I was hoping she would have said no, when Doris asked her to not tell Steve, but I guess then because its a TV show, we would not have the conflict to come with Catherine and Steve down the road. I don't like that Doris is pulling her in to her mess, but I understand why they are doing it.
I thought this was a very solid show 4.5.

Oh reality police, what we do without you pointing out the obvious. Imagine a TV show where the main characters always win, they always survive fights, falls, explosions, shootings, stabbings, do things that are not legal, or are not what an intelligence officer would do. Let's see what would you call that, oh yeah, A TV SHOW. Seriously, don't take it so seriously.

I've seen Vanessa Marcil in other things, she is a good actress, and I loved her character and McG playing cat and mouse. It was a great twist on what McG is used to, she obviously was getting him frustrated. Also, I believe they have enough to charge her with murder on killing the flight attendant since she was wearing her clothes. I think that is reality.

Poor Mary, I was hoping she would keep the job with the airline, its a good excuse to keep her in and out during the season. I like that Mary was more of a Daddy's girl. I hope there is more interaction at some point with Mary, the reunion scene was good, but it can't end there.
Loved that we saw so much of Kono and Chin in this one. Kono flying through a window, and kicking butt. McG hanging on the bottom of the vehicle is what we would expect. I'm also glad they showed that his clothes were torn, I'm sure the reality police must have noticed. This episode did not need Catherine, I think that they are bringing her along just right and look forward to other scenes of her and McG. I'm still waiting for Adam though.

Just an additional comment about a comment made that everyone on this site, does not like Catherine. I love Catherine, I think they are bringing her along the way she should be, and that Steve deserves a girlfriend, someone who can be strong and help him out.

When Catherine is in the episode a lot people complain, when she is barely there they complain that she has no purpose. I know people have a right to their opinions, but seriously, give the woman a break. The actress is great, the writing for her is great, and the character is exactly what someone like McG needs. Great episode.

correction...Danny found out that he had a baby on the way, not born on that day. Sorry, did not say it right.

@McDanno.....well said, I feel the same. However, I don't think that is going to stop the same people, complaining about the same thing over and over, but I liked that you pointed out what this character has been through.

I liked this episode very much. Danny's past is what makes him Danny. I loved the emotions both Scott and Alex have in the scenes they play, very well acted. Thank you Peter Lenkov and the writers for giving reference to 9/11 without exploiting it. We now know what Danny, being a former NJ cop, was doing on that day, and that it was the day he found out about his daughter being born. This character has gone through a lot, and is why he shows so much emotion and worry about the people he cares about. Grace is growing up fast, and both the scenes in the store and at the dance were just adorable, really tugs at the heart strings. Love this show more and more.

(cont.)...As for the story, It was not one of my favorites, although I did like Lee Merriweather's portrayal. I agree that they should have explained more of how and why. I think despite this episode, the writers have layed the foundation of a great season ahead. I know the ratings are down, and that the addition of another show on another network pulled some people away, but no one is running away with the timeslot.

The character of Catherine is being brought along just as she should be. Yes we did not see Kono or Chin as much, but we will in other episodes. Catherine is Steve's girlfriend, she is going to be there with him. I love that she is the female that points things out to Grace. Everytime, we have Kono not in a whole lot of scenes, then someone brings up that they are replacing her. This started in the first season, how many seasons does she have to do before people stop thinking she wants to leave, or they are phasing her out? I want more Kono and Chin, but Steve is the Major character, and Danny is his partner. I'm tired of defending Danny, I think he's great. (Cont.)

It should be interesting to see what happened right before we picked up McG and Hesse in the pilot episode. I love this show also, and hope it lasts many, many season. I like the direction it is headed as well. I love the action, but what drives a show is the character development and history. It's what makes us want to watch more.
