I don't even know why I like this show... oh yeah... now I remember ... because it's excellent!
Has anyone noticed the complete discord between the darkness of the show and the Theme Music? It takes me away ... and sounds like a Tropical Paradise LOL!
There's nothing 'new' under the Sun these days. Almost every show I see these days; Nikita, Burn Notice, Revolution and so many more, have to have these obnoxiously long story arcs with characters that fall into a cookie cutter recipe that says we can't kill any of the bad guys when it really makes sense to do it. Take the character Edward Truman played by Steven Culp. It's a great character, but really? Chained to a radiator with a gag in his mouth? when everyone else in the room is toast? Why? Sometimes it is like a bad Soap Opera. Nikita, for example, was obnoxious to the point of it almost being nauseous with Amanda always slipping away when the clearly could have 'taken the shot' but didn't so many times. I don't mind long story arcs that make sense where the villain is clearly superior such as in the case of the show Elementary and the character Moriarty. But when the characters in any show that are being hunted or pursued or attacked etc. by bad people have opportunity after opportunity to take out the bad guys causing them problems and they don't take them out, then it's just dismal for me. To me it's just lame, lazy writing. It's as big of a let down for me as when people are trying to escape from the bad guys that chasing them down a long hallway and they run into an elevator. The person chasing them actually gets to the elevator doors as they are closing ... but instead of putting their arm INSIDE the closing elevator doors (something that everybody knows will STOP the elevator doors from closing) they pound on the outside of the doors in frustration AS THEY ARE CLOSING! DUH! For me, those kinds of scenes are dramatic crapola. Getting back, why did they leave the vaccine laying around for Truman to get a hold of it? It would have been fitting for him to die of the disease he was responsible for setting into motion. I'm sorry, but that's the way I see it. Sometimes this show is mediocre drama at best. I'm still a fan, but sometimes I'm an annoyed fan.
When I was 10 years old, I viewed the world much differently that I did when I was 20 and when I was 20 I viewed the world much differently than I did when I was 30 and when I was ... Now that I'm a over 60, certain aspects of a show (the plot) that I would have really enjoyed when I was 30 really annoy me today. I'm sorry to sound cynical but my annoyance is with Jedikiah. The group, our heroes, had the clear and simple opportunity several times to kill Jedikiah, especially in the last episode! Now, every time I see their 'nemesis' I want to scream at them. Why didn't you kill him you stoooopid people? The fun elements for me now are the rogue Tomorrow People and that conflict. ANYTHING to do with Ultra is now an annoyance. If they had killed Jedikiah in the last episode, Ultra would still exist, but it would take them awhile to regroup; making them much less of a threat. In the real world, when you are pursuing an enemy that wants you DEAD ... you take them out at the first possible moment. No hesitation you don't LET them get away (over and over again - that's ludicrous and stupid dramatic writing). It's understandable if someone gets away because of circumstances beyond your control, but if you let them get away (for whatever reason) and then get captured or wasted then its on you. Take 24, for example. With the exception of Jack Bauer; NO ONE WAS SAFE :)Kiefer Sutherland Jack Bauer (195 episodes, 2001-2010)Mary Lynn Rajskub Chloe O'Brian (126 episodes, 2003-2010)Carlos Bernard Tony Almeida (115 episodes, 2001-2009)Dennis Haysbert President David Palmer / ... (81 episodes, 2001-2007)Elisha Cuthbert Kim Bauer (79 episodes, 2001-2010)James Morrison Bill Buchanan (64 episodes, 2005-2009)Reiko Aylesworth Michelle Dessler (62 episodes, 2002-2006)Jude Ciccolella Mike Novick (59 episodes, 2001-2006)Kim Raver Audrey Raines (53 episodes, 2004-2007)Glenn Morshower Aaron Pierce (49 episodes, 2001-2009) Jedikiah is expendable he's NOT one of the Tomorrow People.
Well TV Fanatic hit a new low with this retarded review. There are so many people that want this Alien Species to go back to whatever Universe they came from. Many of us, I'm thinking MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of us are weary and tired and sick of being tired of hearing about these Kardashian people. Can they please JUST FADE AWAY! These people never go away. If it's not Yahoo putting out putrid article after article after article about them, now it's this site. America is in the toilet mainly because the people that watch this show and 'like' it are allowed to procreate and even worse ... VOTE in elections. It's the very reason that we have a do-nothing Congress that keeps getting RE-ELECTED over and over and over again. This show keeps going on and on and on and on. Send it away ... PLEASE...
Great episode. This is one of my favorite shows. On a very sad and disturbing note, what I take away from this show, at the end, when Tom Selleck is talking about donations and how CBS cares is that our Government fails miserably at every thing it does. It galls me to no end that the Defense department can list a $9,000,000,000,000 loss - oops we can't account for that many of your tax dollars we stole from you. In spite of everything, they can't adequately take care of the brave men and women who are forced to fight our useless False Flag wars. We, The People must be made to feel obligated and be subject to yet another financial burden to fork over more cash, privately, to take care of these men and women's needs medical and psychological needs treatment. The same thing happens with natural disasters. There are whole sections of New Orleans that are still not fixed and those sections that have been or are being fixed are being worked on by private donations and Habitat for Humanity. WHY DO WE KEEP ALLOWING THESE FOOLS IN WASHINGTON TO RAPE US EVERY SINGLE DAY? We are obviously the most ignorant or stupid society on this planet to keep these mush brains if office. We are without question sending them way too many tax dollars to squander away. Please folks, a reminder, JUST SAY NO TO 90% of the Republicans AND Democrats in the next election. Think about voting for independent candidates. If just the Defense dept. can have a 9 TRILLION dollar loss then how much else has been lost/wasted from other agencies? Sorry to digress on this.
I love cooking competitions. I also think that eliminations shows (especially for cooking shows) are a joke! On this show they should do away with immunity and just give something like a time advantage or some other kind of advantage. This way we wouldn't have had that clown that had the worst dish a week ago that was 'protected' with immunity that should gone home or at least man upped to disqualify himself. I think that they should rearrange these elimination cooking shows and score them like gymnastics events and then deal with it like a semester in college (mid terms). If, for example, you have 24 contestants, then on week 12 (mid terms), the people with the 12 lowest scores are eliminated. 9 weeks later, you eliminate the lowest scores to get the final three and then you put them through their paces. The top scorer wins! Anyone can have a bad day one day and a stellar day the next time. I got this idea when I was watching America's Top Hooker, a show that was about fishing. Because of a stupid snafu the girl that was an expert in target fishing (using a bow and arrow) was eliminated before her type of event came around. As a matter of fact, she was eliminated the week before and thought what a joke. I always wondered if her event had come up earlier how would she have done. They should just score everybody on each event and at the END of the show, the person with the highest score wins. Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri did a show, Rachael vs. Guy: Kids Cook-Off on the Food Network that featured kids cooking and they did a scoring thing. I applauded them for that! It was a brilliant show.
I don't know for sure, but, I have to say if Rebecca didn't have it in for me, as pretty as she is and if she truly loved me I wouldn't mind skipping town with her and the twin Hope Diamond in tow (if we managed to get it) to live out the rest of our lives in some beautiful country that doesn't have extradition.
I stopped watching Idol when it changed from a signing competition to a popularity contest. When Pia Toscano, arguably one of the best signers to ever grace the Idol stage got voted off (top nine) after singing Pia Toscano - "River Deep, Mountain High" I realized that the show was a joke. A few weeks earlier she sang a version of "I'll Stand by You" that got her a 4 judge standing ovation, along with the rest of the crowd.Pia Toscano - I'll Stand By You (American Idol Performance) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... I've been Musician for many decades and I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be on stage with some very famous people along the way so I have a pretty good idea what a good singer is. Here's Pia doing her version of "I'll Stand by You" on Dancing With The Stars which is my favorite version of this song by any artist out there.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... She should have been the winner or at least in the top 3 Even today, I still get goose bumps when I hear those two songs. As my own personal preference, I think she's much better than Scotty McCreery. The elimination performance of "River Deep, Mountain High" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v... Not an Idol fan anymore.
I stopped watching Dexter after 4 seasons I think. Yeah, I know that I'm strange. It's like a switch that gets turned off. I'll really like a show a lot and have that "I can't wait for the next episode" anticipation and then a few episodes that just don't 'do it' for me and it gets switched off in my brain and the show becomes one of those on my YUK list. Can't explain it, but that's what makes the world this wonderful interesting place to be.
