Is it just me but in next week's promo, the whole Derena make out sesh closely resembles the Nate and Serena one when he cheated on Blair with her. I mean, look at the scene when Dan and Blair are atop the table. I don't care about Chair or Dair or Derena at this point, as much as I care about Serena and Blairs friendship. I really hope it doesn't get screwed up. If anything, even with all the jealousy and scandals, they have always been there for each other.
I think it will be Dan. If it's Chuck, I'll just lose the rest of the faith I had instilled in this show. But I think with Bart alive, technically Rufus and Lilly aren't married which could pave way for a non incestuous Derena reunion. Can't be Nate cuz he asks Lola to move in with him. But yea maybe she says no and he goes to Serena to whine about that.
Okay. First of all, how does Blair like Serena's outfit, when her top looks like a monkey mauled her arm?
Second, Dan doesnt trust her. That should just be a dealbreaker. She cant go through the Louis drama again, of not having met Chuck once and having her boyfriend hound her and try to be with her all the time.
I am not against Dan and Blair just because I want Blair and Chuck to get back, but also because Dan and Blair are good friend. They are funny and intelligent. But, Dan has always wanted Serena, she has always wanted him. So is with Chuck and Blair. And either they just make peace with Chair in the finale or make Blair choose none and get that Columbia degree for once and for all and become the powerful thinker woman she has always wanted to be.
You know I understand the weird secret which Jack, Bart and Diana may be all part of it. But Grandpa Vanderbilt should ideally be on it too. I mean. She said she came to new York and stayed to be close to chuck but she actually stayed on to help Nate at the request of his grandfather.
Or have the Safran co forgotten that?!
Is it weirdly wishful thinking induced by denial that Serena and Dan might be kissing? Or maybe, maybe Jack and Diana are kissing. Bart could be alive, considering Gossip Girl has become more or less a daytime soap, however it seems unlikely and the writers will have to do a lot of explaining worth of two years. And this season has proved that the writers arent really good at doing anything. As of now.
At this point, all surprises seem predictable and then they turn out to be no surprises at all. We saw Bart die. There was a funeral. He couldn't have been taken out of the casket. Can the surprise actually be worth it?! This show is all hype now.
I knew this would happen. I just knew it in my heart that Safran will go. I mean, good thing he is going to go for a better job, but he really did mess up Gossip Girl. Now, lets hope for an awesome Gossip Girl season 6 mirroring the first. Shortened and full of wit.
@ Zoran - You are so right, Dan had totally manipulated his way into Blair's life. I mean, I am sorry but the only reason that Blair ever considered Dan as an option was that he gave her an ultimatum that either she and he become more than friends or he wont be her friend at all. It just is forced. Its very very forced and unnecessary. I just think that Blair needs to really focus on herself and remind herself that she isnt Serena who needs a guy all the time saving her from being lost, she was supposed to be Hilary Clinton or Indra Nooyi. I am just ranting, but what has happened to this show!
I dont know why she is still harping about the Hotel. Or the fans are. Chuck has redeemed himself enough. For that matter she even forgave him back in season three itself but then Jenny Humphrey happened. Fact is, that the writers on behalf of Blair, or vice versa, are just looking for reasons for Chair not happening. Maybe to leave a cliffhanger or a solid climax or something. Four episodes are left, not much will happen. I really dont care. All i know is that till mid season 4 Dan was obsessed with Serena. and till like 4 episodes ago, Blair and Chuck were swearing to be with each other for life. And suddenly everything beautiful is Dair? Sure.
With reference to Dan's - I love Blair fOr Blair- Chuck said in season 2 when Nate wishes Blair would change that it's stupid of Nate to want Blair to be anything but herself. In season three Bass says to Blair when she finds herself socially irrelevant - " the next time you forget you are Blair Waldorf, remember I am Chuck Bass and I love you" I don't know why I wrote this but maybe because the writers are recycling lines or something. Anyway so now we know the chuck Blair scenes that were being speculated around had very little to do with their love and more with some scheme. So, um, Dair it is. Great. What a waste of four seasons with the whole chair thing. I feel weird.
