This show is driving me crazy. The only reason I'm sticking around is because of Big Jim, Julia, Norrie, and Joe. Everyone especially Barbie is driving me insane. I get that they have something inside of them but how can Barbie and Junior and just everyone be so clueless and not even listen to anyone. I actually liked Sam this episode. I haven't really cared about him other wise. Yay! He stabbed Christine, but he couldn't have killed her? I was also hoping that Eva would die and not just be knocked out after Norrie slammed her head into the wall. In season 1 we were told that the dome was their to protect them, how the hell is it protecting them by body snatching everyone? If this show gets renewed for another season I will probably still watch out of just pure curiosity and needing answers but I'll be incredibly shocked and a little disappointed. I don't want shows I watch to be cancelled usually but with this I just don't care anymore.
Tonight was an awesome night for Syfy I thought. Defiance, Killjoys, and Dark Matter all had great episodes that I really enjoyed. Dark Matter has been my favorite so far partly because of the mystery of it but I think the real reason because I discovered it first and if I hadn't been watching it then I never would have discovered Killjoys. I've been having a mental argument with myself all week and I've finally come to the conclusion that Killjoys is the better show. I still love Dark Matter but it's not as fun and it's slower and the world isn't explored as much. I really am loving Killjoys and can't believe there's only 4 episodes left. How could this show only get 10 episodes? I can't even imagine this show getting cancelled so if it doesn't get a season 2 I will be incredibly shocked and depressed. This episode was so good and it set up so much stuff for future episodes. I agree that they are most definitely going to do something with that secret level 6 stuff. This episode decided it I do not like Khlyen. He is ruthless and not a good guy. But he obviously I don't if I'd say cares but there's something about him where he likes Dutch even she said he never physically hurt her until that night. I wasn't surprised when she came clean about him I was surprised though that Johnny knew about Khlyen. I thought nobody knew about him and there past was a total secret that's why she was keeping his presence a secret but turns out Johnny knew about him and knows just how dangerous he is. I love seeing more and more of this world and learning more about more about how everything works. I really liked how the Killjoys came together and they really are like a big family in a sort of way. Okay every time I see Turin I can't help but picture the evil psycho from Bitten. I can't get that character out of my head when seeing him even though he seems like a pretty good guy in this show. I am dying waiting for next weeks episode it looks so good. It also looked like it will be all about D'avin and his missing memories and trying to get them back. It also looked like he and Dutch will hook up. I saw that since episode 1 but I don't want it to happy. Like Johnny told D'av and like Fancy Lee mentioned to Johnny when team members hook up it messes everything up and the team falls apart. I wasn't really thinking about it till now but I missed hearing Lucy.
I've also started to notice that Frankie doesn't ever seem to have much importance to the episodes except to make us laugh and if he is serious and working on a case it's usually something small. I feel like we saw more Frankie and he saw more action when he was in uniform then he has since he's become a detective. I didn't care about the case but I did care about Elliot and he made the show interesting. I totally agree with that they did a great job in making Elliot sympathetic. He was a really great character and I cared about him which doesn't usually happen with characters like him who are only in one episode.
Completely agree with this being the best episode so far. It's definitely my favorite right now. There's nothing more than a deadly virus that helps character development. We learned and saw other sides to characters we haven't before. One of my favorite scene was Camille and the rat and Kirsten trying to talk to her and get her to keep going. I felt that moment really shows how far they've come as friends. My other favorite moments was when Linus and Camille were talking. They were both just so vulnerable and admitted how scared they were. I also loved that when Linus called his parents he said he had a girlfriend. I'm kind of hoping that in a future episode we see Linus and Camille have dinner with his parents. This episode also made me like Maggie more. She's usually all business but we saw her human side. I agree that she's still hiding things but it also became completely clear that she cares about all the members of her team. Bottom line I agree with everything you said in your review.
I don't know if Sarah is Charles or not. I haven't thought so but I just don't know anymore. I agree that the person In the hoodie definitely looked more female then male but I also remember at times like when the girls were captured the person in the hoodie looked like a male. I really don't know anymore. I'm sick of guessing because odds are I'll be wrong. I know how unlikely it is but right now I'm just thinking that in the summer finale we'll finally see who A really is and it's not a trick. Even though that's what I'm telling myself I will not be surprised if this is all a trick again and we don't see who A actually is. My favorite thing from this episode was Mike. I really like Mike and we hardly ever see him and when we do it's usually only a few scenes now unlike in the first few seasons when we saw more of him and he had some story. I enjoyed him being in about half the episode. I also really love how he wouldn't give up on seeing Mona and that they're going to try and work things out. I never thought about it before but I really like them together. My take away from this episode is that we need more Mike.
I'm surprised Stiles lied to Scott but understand why he's hesitant to tell the truth. I agree that he's having Nogitsune flashbacks. I also agree that Scott isn't going to be mad that Stiles killed Donovan he's going to be mad that he lied to him and didn't tell him what happened. I think Scott is reasonable enough to understand that it was an accident and in self defense. I get Scott doesn't want to kill anyone it's one of the things I like best about him but I think there's a difference in Donovan and the other Chimera they've fought. The other 2 students who's names I can't remember right now were just normal kids who were taken and turned into these monsters, but Donovan was already a psychopath and became an even more dangerous one when he was turned into that monster. I think out of everyone that Scott will understand the self defense killing of Donovan. I mean there was no saving him he wasn't good at the start. I'm surprised Scott lied to Kira because he didn't have a reason but I guess him being a little scared when the fiery figure reached for the sword is a sort of good reason, but Kira still needs to know. Something is going on with her powers and she needs to know what before she hurts someone by accident. I loved the scene with Malia because now we know that she didn't kill her mother and sister it was actually The Desert Wolf. It was a small thing that gave us answers but ended up making us ask more questions like why did she go after Malia's family? It also made me wonder one other thing, which is why are Malia's eyes blue? There eyes turn blue when they take a life. I've always figured that meant her eyes were blue because she killed her family but now we know that's not the case so, why? Who did she kill? I know we may not get that answer but it was one of the very first things that popped into my mind when we learned that her biological mother was the reason for her mom and sisters deaths.
I'm so glad that I wasn't the only one who thought space zombies when seeing the preview last week. The twist was pretty great. This has been one of the first episodes where I actually liked D'avin. I think it was seeing him vulnerable in that chamber is what really made me start to like him like I do the others. The whole episode was cool but my favorite part was at the beginning Dutch saying Lucy favors John and John replying that Lucy can't have favorites but then at the end of the episode Dutch used Johnny being in trouble to get Lucy to let her into the ship. After the first scene I thought yeah right Johnny is Lucy's favorite then it was proven by the end of the episode. I think this show has much better character development than Dark Matter and it's a much more light hearted but still has it's dark moments. But I'm still liking Dark Matter more. There's just different qualities that make both shows so great to me that it's hard to compare at times. Dark Matter has the mysteriousness to it with no one having memories that makes it so exciting. They're both just such great shows I'd never be able to choose between the two.
This season is still so difficult to watch but I'm sticking with it. It's more tolerable now because we got the old Norrie back and she and Joe know something is definitely wrong with the towns people. Big Jim and Julia working together is interesting but they make a pretty good team. I hate Christine. I can not stand her. After the episode ended I said that I really hope they kill her. I don't want her to not be body snatched or whatever anymore and end up a good guy. Nope that happens to often. I want her dead and gone for good at the end of this season. I'm still hoping that Joe and Norrie escape and team up with Big Jim and Julia and by the looks of the series preview it looks like that will eventually happen.
I'm really loving Kira's story this season. I really want to find out what's happening with her. It's pretty awesome looking. Theo is bad no surprise there. Everyone should learn to listen to Stiles he's generally right about this kind of stuff. I have 2 theories about Theo. 1. that he's an experiment of the doctors which is why he's working with them 2. that he's Malia's brother and The Desert Wolf's is his mother. That one I'm not so sure on but it's a thought that crossed my mind.
I know it's only been 4 episodes but I was considering giving up on the show I was considering that after episode 1 actually and only watching most likely just to see how it turns out not because of enjoyment but this episode has started to that idea around. And it's only because of big Jim, Julia, Norrie, and Joe. They were the highlight of the episode. I did not care about anything else. I actually skipped through a lot of parts because it was just so painful to watch. Love the new team up of Big Jim and Julia. They're an unlikely duo but are the only ones with a clear head and seeing everything for what it really is. Joe was starting to then wasn't but now I think is again after that little discovery with Julia and now I think Norrie is also. Seriously my favorite part was when Norrie ranted about how Joe shouldn't forgive Sam. When she said she hated everything I was with Joe in saying yes she's back. The character I've come to love is back. I hope that now that Norrie is back to being Norrie and that she and Joe are now back together that they find Julia and Big Jim and work together to take down Christine and figure out what is going on. I don't want either Norrie or Joe to start being weird again and going back to their matrix versions because none of them are like able. Really every person who has been changed is horrible now. I don't like anyone besides Julia, Joe, Norrie now that she's herself again, and Big Jim who I have hated pretty much since day one. I just don't care about Barbie or anyone else anymore. I know that it felt like a year to them but how can none of them be questioning anything anymore especially Barbie.
