  1. Revenge Review: An Abuse of Power

Great episode, and I love that we are back to the wonders of Nolan and his full power wit! He is easily my favorite character on the show. I am also hoping that Marco, who is a sleaze-bucket, gets gone soon, and I don't trust Padma too much either. I love that Emily and Aidan are still working together, though I can see why Aidan would break it off with her when she starts to work her charms on Daniel.
I am also hoping that Fauxmanda opens up a can of whoop-arse on the Ryan brothers! She needs to get rid of those drug smuggling parasites ASAP!
Here's to a great new season of Revenge!
  2. Bunheads Review: It's Time to Dance!

I LOVED this first ep of Bunheads this season, because it reminded me of all the things I'd come to know and adore about the characters by having them not be around the dance studio. I found it hilarious that all the main girls were doing horrible summer jobs, and I kept laughing (and crying) at all the perfect moments, like when Fanny took away the big pot of fries and onion rings from the girls after telling them she wasn't going to police what they eat anymore, and I nearly wet myself laughing when Truly showed Fanny her "kitchen in a box" and Fanny was astonished that she'd had the box wired for lights! And Fanny's lecture to Michelle about why she needs to come back, and how she's family, and Fanny and Michelle watching the wedding video...all great stuff. The ending was particularly poignant.
  3. Castle Review: Exes Come and Go

Welcome back, Castle! I was really thrilled to see the gang back in action, and yes, I am loving the renewed bromance between Espo and Ryan, and thought their talk with Castle about things blowing up between the ex and the current girlfriend was hilarious!
I also felt that Castle shouldn't have been such a wuss about his ex, he should have told her she can't stay, but Beckett was mature enough to make it work, though I wasn't happy about Meredith making her feel insecure about her relationship with Castle at the end.
I also wish we'd seen more of Alexis and Martha. But all in all, it was a good solid episode that opened the season well.
  4. Person of Interest Review: Risky Business

War, children, it's just a shout away, it's just a shout away.."Gimme Shelter, Rolling Stones
Wow, what an awesome winter finale that was! I also loved the look on Reeses face when Finch declared his love of riding on a motorcycle...hilarious!
I can't wait to see how Reese extricates himself from the FBI. That should be an interesting episode right there.
And I hope Fusco can bring down HR and get out of the organization himself.
  5. Arrow Review: The Dark Archer

I don't think Merlyn is going to return Walter, because I think he feels that Walter knows too much, so my guess is that he's going to execute him and then tell Moira it was an accident. She's gotten in too deep with the wrong people, that is for sure.
Though he's playing a despicable villain, I am LOVING seeing John Barrowman on the small screen again. He's just such an awesome actor! He certainly puts many other shows villains to shame.
Oh, and I agree with the person who said that the stunt double for the 'black arrow' was way too big physically to be Barrowman.
  6. Private Practice Review: Sheldon's Story

I disagree with the reviewer, I loved this episode, and felt it was a welcome break from all the drama surrounding Addison and Sam and Jake and the Coopers...This was a rare opportunity to reveal more about a character who has gotten short shrift from Shonda and company for the entire run of Private Practice. I felt that there were a lot of subtle things happening in this ep, and I loved that Sheldon fell in love with Miranda during chemo, when both were vulnerable and he was on the rebound from his awful ex-wife and she made the point that she didn't want to become involved because she had had too many friends die, and of course she is terminal. It takes a huge amount of courage to fall in love when both parties have a limited amount of time together. And in the end, Sheldon was a hero, not just for finding the girl but for singing to her when she was afraid. I will really miss Private Practice
  7. Person of Interest Review: Taxi Driver

I agree with General Rapunzel that Fusco has become an endearing character that viewers look forward to seeing each week. He's as much a part of the team as Carter. He gets no respect, though, from HR or from Reese/Finch.
Anyway, I liked this episode, because, really, a mediocre episode of POI is more interesting than a 'great' episode of nearly any other show. I hope that we will see the end of HR without the death of Fusco, who deserves a break.
I loved that the family of the cabbie finally found their way back to him, and what made it even sweeter was Bear dropping a ball for some father-son pitching time.
  8. Glee Review: Don't Dream It's Over

I mean the gal in the wheelchair from "The Glee Project" of course.Anyway, I also wanted to say that I loved Rachel's songs for the showcase, and I was so moved by her incredible talent, and Kurt's vulnerability during his song that I had to get out the tissues. That was beautifully done. I'm also with the reviewer in being tired of Kate Hudson's nasty dance teacher--she brings nothing to the show but her ridiculous jealousy of Rachel and her egotistical alcoholism.
BTW, I am glad that Sam and Brittany are getting together, and I think, from the comments here and on Facebook, that Brit was right about the militant lesbians getting their panties in a bunch over her no longer being in a gay relationship. When I was at an all-womens college, I saw a lot of lesbian relationships, and now, years later, over 75 percent of those gals have gone on to have relationships/marriages with men.
  9. Glee Review: Don't Dream It's Over

I agree with what the reviewer said about that b*tch Kitty causing so much destruction and having no repercussions, when she should have at least gotten punched by Santana for turning wimpy Marley into an anorexic idiot. Kitty was the real cause of the New Directions losing, because without her campaign of fear of obesity toward Marley, she never would have fainted and messed up the entire show. That said, I really dislike Marley and think she's a waste of airtime as a character. She's whiny, stupid and easily corrupted, and I honestly don't think she's got that great of a voice...it's as wimpy as her character. I think that Ryan M and company should have hired that sparky gal in the wheelchair who could REALLY belt out the tunes to replace Rachel in New Directions. I agree with Tina when she said "I knew Rachel Berry, you're no Rachel Berry" which is all too true.
  10. Nashville Review: Freakin' Deacon!

I've gotta say that every time I tune into this show, I am always amazed at the incredible beauty of the music that is played during the hour. The songs are just gorgeous, the singers always sincere and talented and the melodies stay with me long after the show is over. Truly, whomever is creating the music for this show is a genius.
I am glad that Deacon is going on tour with the Revel Kings, and I wish Scarlett wouldn't be such a wimp and allow herself to fall for that young man who sang to her...obviously, he is smitten, and he seems like a much nicer guy than her previous boyfriend, who was a scumbag.
  11. Arrow Review: Revenge vs. Justice

I agree with the reviewer that it was about time Oliver got laid, and I am glad it was with someone who could possibly understand his need to be a hooded superhero and go after the bad guys. However, I do think that Helena needing to actually kill people in her fathers organization, not to mention her need to kill her father set her apart from Oliver as a psychopath.
That said, I enjoyed watching the two of them do some 'wire-fu' martial arts moves as they decimated her fathers business associates, also known as scumbags. One thing has me scratching my head about this show, though, and that is why does the guy who plays Arrow walk like Yosimite Sam whenever he's in a suit? He's so stiff its like he's got bombs strapped to his neck and torso, and he walks bow-legged. He moves completely differently when he's in his costume. Wierd.
  12. Rizzoli & Isles Review: Multiple Murder Boy

I watch this show with my 13 year old son, who is a huge fan of Rizzoli and Isles, and he knew right from the moment he saw them that the father and son with the check were the perpetrators of the murders! I was flabbergasted, myself, as I didn't see that coming at all, and had no idea they were the murderers.
I agree with the reviewer that the steampunk apartment of the author guy was AWESOME! And I love that he had his laptop computer in an ornate wooden box or sleeve that made it look Victorian! SO COOL!
I also hope that Angela and the police captain get back together, she was so happy to have a love life again, and her ex-husband is obviously having affairs with much younger women, so I think it is best that Angela move on with her life, too.
  13. Parenthood Review: Don't Stop Trying

I was so sad to see Sarah shoot herself in the foot in this episode, as Lauren Graham is one of my all-time favorite actresses...she was just brilliant in Gilmore Girls, and I don't understand why she's such an idiot on Parenthood. Her character never seems to get it right, and by going off with that sad-sack Hank instead of spending time with her young, hot fiance, she effectively destroyed the relationship, like Mark said, she has a destructive streak. She can't even seem to communicate with her son effectively. Then there is that brat Victor, on whom Julia lavishes attention, only to get smacked in the face by this kids awful attitude and behavior. The only couple I still like on this show are Amber and Ryan, whom I hope will stay together, because I love them together. And I hope that beast of a neighbor moves away from the Luncheonette
  14. Private Practice Review: Keeping Up with Cooper

Having had a c-section to give birth to my premature son at 31 weeks, I was totally glued to the screen when Charlotte went into labor. My water broke when I was in bed, too, and my husband said "Oh geez, you just wet the bed, honey, go back to sleep" LOL. Little did he know he was about to become a father! My boy was only 3 and a half pounds, and his lungs were small enough that he had to have extra oxygen pumped into his incubator for two months in the NICU, BUT, once he got home, he was fine, and he's now a big, robust 13 year old young man!So I could identify with Cooper and Char and their fears and frustrations...I found the lamaze/childbirth classes ridiculous, too.I hated Violet's storyline and thought it was worthless in this episode.
  15. Hawaii Five-0 Review: Rumor Has It

I agree with Allie, this was a great ep, and I loved Max's crush on Rumer Willis! So adorable! He went from being my least favorite character to being a favorite, though he's still not as high up there as that hottie Alex O! I LOLed, too, at the naked stoner chase and the interrogation of stoner guy.Really funny stuff, and I loved that Danny took Grace to the VS event and she got to put on makeup with the big girls! I bet that is something she will never forget. I also think that Danno on the couch showing photos of his little girl to the models was sweet. He looked so happy with all that female attention, poor guy probably needs a good roll in the hay, so to speak! I bet that is why he's cranky. I laughed at Steve telling him he had no chance of getting a model's phone number...that was just hilariously understated.
  16. Bones Review: The Soul Transcends

Yes, reviewer, I totally agree with you that this was one of the best episodes of Bones yet. Along with the Patriot episode, there were real moments of pathos and beauty and grieving here, and while I watched it with my 13 year old son, I cried right along with Brennan and Angela and when Cyndi Lauper's character told the spirit of that boy that he would have had an amazing life that made a difference, I sobbed out loud for the waste of a life cut short. I really felt the camera/skull effect as they all looked right at viewers as if we were the soul of that poor kid, was perfectly done, very respectful and emotional. I loved how caring each of the Jeffersonian's team were, and how each of them came to care enough for the kid that they wanted to find out what happened. Angela was especially wonderful telling his spirit that she would give him a face and Brennan would give him a voice. Brilliant, just brilliant.
  17. Castle Review: Secret Santa

"How awesome were Castle's Christmas decorations?" said the reviewer, and I said the exact same thing when I saw his apartment..those decorations rocked! I so wanted him to come to my place and decorate our tree! This was just the loveliest episode, full of warmth and humor and family...the last few minutes, when Beckett showed up at Castle's doorstep and Javi showed up to take those folks back their clock, were just heartwarming and wonderful. I just hope that Javi finds the love of his life (it would be great if he'd get back together with Lani) and had as much romance in his life as Castle and Ryan do in theirs. Even Gates wasn't so annoying in this ep. All in all, one of my favorites of the year! Thanks writers, cast and crew for Castle for a great entrance to the holidays!
  18. Revenge Review: Changing of the Guard

Wow, what an episode! I was thrilled to see Ashley get tossed out, she's such a slut! And I loved Nolan saying that he's going to be the Trojan horse and get things turned around for Nolcorp. I wouldn't trust either Padma or the former accountant rat-head, who is just an opportunistic creep. I am worried about Nolan, and I hope he asks Emily for help if he needs it, because he certainly has helped her a great deal. The whole Porter mess feels overdone to me, overwrought and really ridiculous, as it was obvious those two guys were bad news right from the start. I hope that Jack is able to get rid of them before harm comes to his wife and child. Salvador is a creep, too, and I hope we have seen the last of him.
  19. Person of Interest Review: Love and Death

Suncatcher, I totally agree with you and Dreamrose on the humor and the witty banter between characters, particularly Reese and Finch. And I loved (and laughed at) that excerpt from the show that you put in your comment! The more I know about the characters, the more I enjoy watching them each week. Both my son and I laughed at Reese using the nail gun during the later fight sequence, and I always marvel at how graceful and easy Jim Caveziel makes those fights look...he never seems to break a sweat, even when he's fighting more than one bad guy. I also loved seeing the tender, romantic side of Finch, whose scavenger hunt to the Guggenheim made me cry, because I could see how Grace was moved by his care in setting her up to see her favorite painting. What a sweetie! And I am glad that both Carter and Fusco have romantic interests, but I have a feeling Fusco's lady friend isn't who she seems to be. I think she's in with HR, and will get him killed.
  20. Glee Review: Home

I agree with the reviewer that Marley's bulemia needs to be addressed in a serious way, so that other girls watching will realize that this is a physically dangerous thing to do to your body, and that it can mess up your internal organs, screw up your teeth (the stomach acid errodes them and turns them gray)and give you gut problems that may lead to more serious problems like bowel cancer or IBS. I knew someone with bulemia when I was a magazine editor back in the 1980s, and she ended up with stomach cancer that metastisized to her intestines and she died young. I also think Kitty needs to be expelled or given a smack down at the very least for making Marley think she was getting fat...that kind of evil can kill another person. I loved the music and the musical number in Kurt and Rachel's apartment was my favorite! And hurrah for Kurt for forgiving Blaine...that was awesome! I loved that all the old characters were back!
  21. Arrow Review: Hiding In Plain Sight

Having been a fan of John Barrowman on Dr Who and Torchwood, I have to say that I am thrilled to see him on Arrow, playing a devilish character who is so charming yet so evil...and full of secrets. And I love that Oliver is now involved with the Huntress, I do think that they have a lot in common and could do some serious bad-ass stuff around the city together, fighting crime. Laurel is going to end up with broke-arse Tommy, who should be a better person for actually having to work for his keep now. I just hope he doesn't use her and end up cheating on her and breaking her heart. I think Oliver was right when he said that if Tommy hurts her he'd break his neck. And yes, of course one of the highlights of the show is sweaty Oliver without his shirt, showing off those delicious abs. Nothing wrong with a little beefcake on TV. IMHO.
  22. Rizzoli & Isles Review: Men in Tights or Mennonites?

I really missed Rizzoli and Isles, and I was so glad to see them back on my screen. I agree with the reviewer, too, in that it was just so warm and fuzzy to see all our favorite characters again, back in action...and I KNEW that Jane would be a good, gushy kind of momma, because she comes off as a tough gal, but women like that are all mush inside, and are usually the best parents. I laughed so hard when Korsak didn't recognize his first wife...hilarious. But I was glad that the lawyer did it, because he came off as a sleazebucket right from the get-go. And I agree that Lydia's mother is just a low-class trashy person who bullies her daughter and I hope that she realizes how great the Rizzoli family is to have cared so much for her grandchild and for her daughter when she kicked her daughter out!
  23. NCIS Review: Gone, But Not Forgotten

I loved this episode, and found the storylines and the acting to be superb. I loved Shlemiel, and I adored Ziva and Abby teaming up to help that poor young girl who lost her dad and her best friend all at once. I thought that Ziva gave some wise advice, and Abby was great with a frying pan!
I also really loved the end of the ep, where Shlemiel got Ziva and Tony to go out with him and party! Hurrah!
Episodes that are wonderfully acted, scripted and directed like this are why NCIS is the top rated show on TV.
  24. Bones Review: Joke's Over

I agree with the reviewer that it was a pretty ho-hum episode, and the best part of it was Angela and Hodgins, both together and separate, and Angela getting her artistic groove back, which is perfectly understandable since she is a sensitive artistic creative person forced to work in a gory environment and tehn go home with a husband who enjoys the finer aspects of giant hissing cockroaches...EEEWWW! I don't know how she has made it this far without wanting to run far, far away from all of it and just spend time with her muse, painting.(Though I do have to say, "rainbows and unicorns??" REALLY??) I did not find Booth at all funny, nor did I find Brennan funny when she laughed at the lame jokes. That it was all the fault of the fat kid was pretty lame, too.
  25. Hawaii Five-0 Review: Cat and Mouse

continued...I found myself thinking along similar lines, wondering how Steve is going to deal with his sociopathic mother and now a girlfriend who agrees to hide things from him. Scary! I loved the fact that Steve was certain of the madam psycotherapist's guilt right from the get-go, and he never swerved from that opinion, despite his coworkers thinking he was crazy. He had the courage of his convictions and his gut, and was willing to put in the time necessary to nail her butt to the wall. Vanessa Marcil does look careworn and older, but if she is 44, she should be showing her age about now, particularly if she lives in a sunny climate like Los Angeles or Hawaii. We should allow for women especially to look their age and appear normal on TV, since in real life, women are not all pencil-thin and perfect.
