Hawaii Five-0 Review: Man Date Mandate

I enjoyed this episode which had a lot of lighter moments and some truly great stuff with Steve and Danno's bromance, which is just precious. Honestly, I love watching the two of them banter and argue like an old married couple, it is hilarious, and I love that they care about each other as people. There is nothing wrong with two heterosexual men being friends, and they add to each other's strengths and help with the other's weaknesses.
That said, I also would like more episodes that highlight the scrumptous Daniel Dae Kim (all of the men on this show are just drool-worthy, though) and I also want to know more about Steve's mom. Kono isn't really much of an exciting character, in my opinion, but I think Catherine shows real promise, and she's good with Steve.

Castle Review: The Dark Side of Rick

Reviewer said " I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Nathan Fillion is a genius. The man is able to portray so much emotion just through a facial expression."
YES, yes, yes! You really hit the nail on the head, reviewer, and I totally agree that there is nothing but perfection in Nathan Fillions acting. He's amazing, talented, handsome and funny, and he actually cares about his fans. What an awesome person! I hope he nabs a statue for this episode, too.
That said, my heart was in my mouth the whole time when he'd found out that his daughter was kidnapped. Scared the crap out of me, as a mom, and was appropriately tense within the show. I LOVED that Gates basically said "Drop everything else and take whatever resources you need to find Alexis!" YAY GATES! And I also loved how Beckett and his mom Martha were both there for him, helping him keep it together. Just beautiful. I hope that they catch the slimebags who took these girls and make them pay. I know Castle will!

Bones Review: The Suitcase Case

I wish there weren't so many Sweets-haters on TV Fanatic, because I honestly enjoy the character and his interactions with all the people at the Jeffersonian, including Booth and Bones. He's an intelligent, sensitive guy and a good person at heart, and I really loved the way he helped the young gal who had been raped. Having been a rape survivor myself, I can honestly say that I would have LOVED it if someone like Sweets had agreed to help me and find the person who hurt me and bring him to justice. As it was, I had no one who cared, and my mother, who is generally a good mom, wanted to sweep it all under the rug, and basically acted competitive and angry with me for going out with guys at all. So I know how that girl felt, in terms of having a mom who didn't want her daughter to reveal her pain. I have no problem seeing less of Booth and Bones, because they are BORING and have zero chemistry.

Downton Abbey Review: Give Thanks for Matthew

BTW, reviewer, Julian Fellowes has said that season 4 will pick up SIX MONTHS after the end of season 3, NOT years later, as you propose at the end of your review. Six months isn't that big of a time jump at all, and I imagine they will be 'rebuilding' Mary's life, which is what they've said they wanted to do in the first few episodes. It would make no sense to jump farther in the future than 1921-22, because if they moved up to the start of the second World War, Mary would be considered too old to be wooed by some new suitor. And she'd have a teenage son to deal with, one who probably would want to join the war effort. Also, the Dowager Countess would be dead by that time, and I am sure Lord Grantham would be a grumpy grandpa.

Downton Abbey Review: Give Thanks for Matthew

Oh, and I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the beautiful Scottish environs of Duneagle! Gorgeous castle, beautiful landscape...sigh. I really want to visit Scotland someday soon!
I am glad that Rose is coming to Downton, and I hope that she doesn't get involved with Branson, that would just be too 'cute' and sickening. I am just sick about Matthew dying, but I believe Mary will soldier on, and we will see her hopefully become involved with someone from America who will spice things up around Downton Abbey. I also don't think Edith should be agreeing to be the mistress of a publisher. There is no happy ending there, she said it herself. If she does get pregnant, she will have a bastard child and bring shame on her household. She deserves to find a man who can marry her outright. I can't wait for season 4!

Downton Abbey Review: Give Thanks for Matthew

I agree with you, MrWriteSF, that Mary's poor wee boy will always have the day his father died as his birthday, which is tragic. I feel, unlike the reviewer, that this was a stellar episode with lots going on, both horrible moments and happy moments. I loved that Mrs Potmore was actually relieved that the bulbous spice merchant was a filandering creep who just wanted a wife who could cook him fancy meals while he went out and played grab-fanny with every woman he met. I laughed so hard when Mrs Hughes said he was "chewing some woman's face off"! LOL! And I LOVED the scene with Carson and the baby. Such dear tenderness from such a stiff and correct man! And I loved the moment when Bates was exclaiming over his beloved Anna dancing with abandon! True love!!

Once Upon a Time Review: The Missing Piece

I am with KansasGuest, the outsider guy filming everything on his smartphone is pretty boring.
Meanwhile, it was nice to see Gold/Rumple get his karmic payback for being such an evil twee dwarfish jerk so much of the time, and to see him realize that he can't just come waltzing back into his son's life and expect to be welcomed with open arms. Though I do not like the Neal/Bae character at all, I hope that he has some time to talk to his son and be the father that his father never was. I am pretty concerned about Cora and Regina's plans to just kill everyone off and take what they want, as that would pretty much end the show. I also think Hook needs to go off and be somewhere else, he's such a slimeball, and he's doing no good to anyone, now. Poor Belle, I hope that she gets her memory back or that they can ship her off to an asylum, because she's not happy in Storybrooke.

Revenge Review: I Love You, Too

Heartbreaking, but excellent episode! I am glad that we have the white hats (Emily, Aidan, Nolan) all squared away and the black hats (the Graysons and the Initiative) all squared away in their corner. Now all that is left is for Emily to get back to basics and burn the Graysons house down, both literally and metaphorically. I think a head to head battle with Victoria and Emily would be worth selling tickets, because Victoria is such a pit viper and Emily is so much like a female James Bond, you just know that their battle would be brutal, protracted and scorched-earth. Victoria and her husband are psycopaths, and they are grooming their son to be the same, so at this point, they're nothing but evil predators. It is up to Emily/Aidan/Nolan to clean out this pestilence before anyone else dies, or gets caught in the crossfire.

Person of Interest Review: No Reservations

I was thrilled that we got to see more of Finch, wonderful, brilliant Finch in this episode, and I laughed so many times as his interactions with hotel guests...everything from bathrooms to recommending steak houses! He is a true rennaisance man! I was also glad that he bought the hotel and put the Serbian gal in place as manager. And I was happy to see Zoe and Reese back in action together. They're like two peas in a pod. I wish she would just join the team and work with them on every episode!
And hurrah for Fusco being all manly cop and taking out those assasins! I love me some portly, bad-assed Fusco! The only thing I didn't like about the ep was the assasin guy and his handler in Washington and the re-emergence of Root. She's so creepy and nasty, she gives me chills.

Scandal Review: Who Can You Trust?

Oh, and wasn't it just ducky of Mellie to throw Cyrus under the freakin' bus with the Prez like that? She is so blatantly evil, she's beyond belief. So now Fitz thinks everything was Cyrus's fault, when it obviously wasn't. I hope that Cyrus doesn't lose his job, because he has often stated that his job is his life.
Meanwhile, what is the deal with Mellie hating children and not knowing how to even interact with them? She has, supposedly, given birth to more than one child, and we're supposed to believe she hasn't got a motherly bone in her whole body? And WHY is Abby suddenly so pathetic, that she goes to her former boyfriends house and whimpers at him? How craven is that?
