I was expected more of a bow out for Private Practice. Perhaps the DVR ratings will contribute and we'll see something much higher!
As for Parenthood, it could have done way better. However, it's still pretty good hitting a 1.7 at that hour with a low audience.
As much as I loved the series finale and thought it was amazing, I was sad that we didn't see Betsy, Lucas, Henry, Maya or Olivia. I understand that with 43 minutes it is difficult, but I would hope that Maya (and Dink) would at least attend the wedding of Sam and Naomi. Either way, I was glad these two got back together. VERY predictable, but bitter sweet and just great.
I was happy that Charlotte and Cooper got their happy ending with 4 healthy children, Addison and Jake were having a happy life together, Amelia was happy with James (regardless of her VERY minimal screen time) and that Violet stayed single! Sheldon quitting The Practice was upsetting, see as when Miranda dies, he won't have anyone. I was hoping for a flash forward and seeing he and Violet end up together.
Overall, an perfect ending to a perfect series. Great run you had Private Practice. I will miss you!
Spencer better tell the other girls, otherwise I am going to throw shit. Honestly, she jumps at all their lives about their people, but now they have a confirmed 'A' and she (probably) won't do anything about it? Hypocrite much.
The only thing I really enjoyed about the episode was Jasmine being pregnant. Everything else was great, but just completely expected.
Though I'm 100% Parenthood will be back for a 5th season (hopefully a full 22!), even if it weren't, tonight served as a perfect series finale!
Not that I am defending 90210's ratings, because all season it's been down. However, it's also been up sometimes. The CW moving it for TCD was a bad move. People would either think that it followed GG and finished up last year OR that it had been put on hiatus for TCD. Though 90210 would probably not have suited TCD as a lead-in, the viewers still most likely would have watched with extras adding eyeballs because they're interested. A bad move by The CW.
I assume this was meant to be the original mid-season finale and that the Sandy hurricane delayed such a good episode! Gotta say that I loved it. Season 5 is really picking up.
If I recall, Jen Clark was written out of the show and they noted she "moved to France for treatment" for a nervous breakdown due to her (and Harry's) fake son, Sean. Either way, I enjoyed the scenes between Naomi and her mom. Mostly Naomi's Ivy's references. Perhaps a hint she'll be back soon?
Liam and Annie better get back together now; as you've stated in the review, she took a bullet for him! Not to mention, the past few episodes have hinted at it. Sucks for Riley, but he never really stood a chance.
I'm really feeling bad for Silver. I don't know why Teddy agreed to do such a drastic move to begin with, but I don't blame him for wanting parental rights. Either way, they're both in for a WHOLE world of trouble now.
I really want to comment on Addixon, but even I am over the drama. On another good note, NO NAVID! Fantastic episode!
I found Violet to be annoying for the first 2 seasons, gave her the benefit of the doubt in season 3 (due to the Katie fiasco), managed to get a different perspective of her in season 4, but come seasons 5 and 6, I have loved her character. It could have been the fact that I just felt real strong pity for this character, but I saw some change in her character in a good way come later seasons. I'm going to miss her!
Don't get me wrong, I love the cast of this season and lasts and I'm glad the actors are consistent, but I really wish that they'd bring in a lot of new blood. They really need to bring in fresh faces (who are talented) and can give us something a lot more different, yet, somewhat the same. So with that, I'm really glad Ryan has a lot of (different) stories to tell, because I'm hoping for something really different and greater than seasons 1 and 2.
Though I don't think @CharlesT is completely rational, I am sick of Arizona too. It's not the whiny fact of losing a leg, because that could happen to anyone, but I'm just over her character. I love Callie though, so as long as their characters are getting enough screen time and storylines to grow their characters, I am happy with it.
As for the promo though, doesn't really look interesting at all given this weeks ending about the hospital.
I am inclined to agree; amazing episode. Possibly the best since this season premiere!
From Alex's confrontational relapse to Sonya and the mole to all the way of Michael losing his hand, it was a stellar performance and once again good acting from the cast and an action packed episode! I'm really excited to see how Michael losing his hand goes with the show seeing as it's a complete change of dynamic for the character and his relationship with Nikita.
Another reason to dislike Arizona. I wish that crashed just ended her character. Alex took the words out my mouth. I wish he were on the plane too. Would have made for better scenes this season and given Callie a much better arc. However, my only problem is why Thatcher wasn't there or hasn't been in this season at all? The actor is on Scandal and must have a good relationship with Shonda, so I can't see how hard it would be to have his guest star for an episode or two? It would make for some good scenes with Meredith. I would also like to see Molly and Meredith's 4/5 year old niece come into it this season. Speaking of family, where did Derek's sister go? Wasn't it meant to be a multiple arc?
I couldn't help but laugh at all the constant slaps Kenneth gotten. This episode was great with Jenna and Tracy getting TGS for the day regardless of the consequence.
I could see Aria believing she's pregnant, but chances are that she'll go to the doctor, get a blood test and then 'A' will switch the results somehow. Typical PLL.
As for Byron murdering Ali, I hope it's true. However, yet again another twist that it was probably Meredith and she knows Aria is closing in and she'd rather take down Byron then go down herself.
