I was expecting Quinn to put a bullet into Brody, so when he didn't I was completely in shock. Though I want Brody to live, his death would have been one great dynamic for the show and Carrie. After this, I'm going to assume that Brody will always escape death if you look back on past 24 episodes. The guy is untouchable.
I'm with @Anon. It would be logical for it to be Quinn seeing as how eager he was to keep Brody alive. However, the mole could just as well be someone we've never even met.
As for the Brody family, I think it would be a bad idea to phase them out. Perhaps downgrade them to recurring or just less episodes, but removing them seems like a bit too much. I have no idea how they could deal with Brody other than him constantly escaping troubles when people recognize him and having to start up again. As for the wife and kids though, that has endless possibilities of the aftermath of learning that Brody was a "terrorist". In the end though, it is Carrie's show so whatever revolves around her works, I guess.
Though I love both shows, the only thing that really made the finales was the death of LaGuerta (by Deb) on Dexter and the massive explosion (and framing of Brody) on Homeland. Overall though, they were both fantastic.
Ha! LaGuerta is dead! Ha! I'm glad they killed her off, because she's been an annoying little bug since season 6. Good riddance for the show and hopefully this chain of events can and will show us Angel deals with it all.
As for Hannah, I am glad she escaped and I look forward to her return next year (regular starr billing?) hopefully.
Overall, not really much to say than I have no idea what to expect for season 8. This season finale was legit beyond crazy that I actually can't think of anything to say. What a great and fast-paced episode!
@Marisa1983: For a season on romance, I'm not sure why another character has to die for any reason. The Adele death could have been postponed for at least another season or even just down the line. All these deaths and tragedies are just far too soon and close together. It's just really redundant and boring.
I quite thoroughly enjoyed the background into Watson in both this week and lasts. Best part of it was Sherlock's 'surprise' turn up at the dinner.
Though the case this week wasn't as strong and exciting, it was still quite good and I enjoyed it as it went away from the typical murder-mystery case.
@Clara: If I recall, Meredith "moved on" past Lexie's death when Cristina showed up at her door drunk and said the following: "Lexie's dead" while letting off a gentle nod and smile. So I'm not sure how she could still be "emotionally guarded" over it.
... Callie ripped into Airzona again too, her constant whining is still getting to me. Why she wasn't take in the plane crash still gets to me these days. And please, don't get me started on Jo. I was glad Alex went apeshit at her, because after what she pulled, I really hope she drops out and dies from a drug overdose. Adele in ER at the end? Smooth moves Shonda. I can see why you've labeled it your "favorite episode ever!". Seems like a sadist would be looking forward to potential death.
I kind of have to agree with @Tiff about that. Though Meredith and Lexie only knew each other for 4 years, it seems to me that their relationship didn't even mean anything at all to Meredith. I get grieving, I do, but Lexie was always willing to be there for Meredith, it was Meredith who just never looked to her. I get that is just WHO Meredith was, but she did change and so did their relationship. The way she even acted this episode for the first 20 mins was just so many seasons ago on how she would have behaved. I'm not saying go on and on about Lexie, but it's as if she's never really existed. How hard is it to speak good about your sister who YES - would have walked through fire for you.
On another note, was glad to see Lizzie, Derek and Meredith interaction. For some reason I was excited for the Owen/Cristina reunion even though I haven't really been a fan. The April/Jackson thing has really just lost interest to me seeing as I do not care at all about Lexie/Mark 2.0. Was glad Callie ripped into Airzona again too, her constant whining is still getting to me. Why she wasn't take in the plane crash still gets to me these days. And please, don't get me started on Jo. Though not the best episode of Arrow, especially one serving as a mid-season finale, it still managed to get the job done and show us more twists. I'm excited for January!
Well, this episode was all kinds of cray cray. Either way, I loved Dylan McDermott's role! Once again, Lana is still suffering even more and more. Though I know Kit won't die, it's still messed up what he's involved in now. As for Sister Jude, I can't even go there. Arden and Sister Mary really got her there. With only 4 episodes to go, I still have no idea on how this season will end!
Parenthood seriously is just epic this season, so I'm not surprised it got those ratings. Hopefully next season is at least 22 episodes with the possibility of extending it to 25. It's the most underrated show on NBC.
