  1. Private Practice Scoop: Look Who's Returning!

    This is great! Nai has been missed.
  2. Neve Campbell on Grey's Anatomy: First Look!

    Wait... so Neve won't be playing Kathleen as originally thought? Sad, but hopefully Neve knocks it out of the ballpark with 'Lizzie'.
  3. Once Upon a Time Winter Finale: Joining Forces

    Hopefully this episode will confirm the theory that Cora is the Queen of Hearts in Wonderland.
  4. Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Who Will Die in 2013?!

    It can't be Richard because the actor, along with the original season 1 actors all signed two year contracts when season 9 negotiations ended.

    It's either Addison or Adele, with the latter more plausible than the former. The former's a possibility since the death will occur in 2013, which means it'll ocincide with PP ending, although, Kate Walsh said would be happy doing guest spots in GA.
  5. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Mistake

    So can anyone just take hearts now? I'm guessing it happened while she was sleeping?
  6. Grey's Anatomy Caption Contest 339

    Derek: You washed your hands right?
    Callie: ....seriously?!
  7. Grey's Anatomy Review: Change of Heart

    I hope they don't go through with it. Derek's speech was about making sure this doesn't happen again: to send a message to hold the plane company accountable. How will suing SGMW accomplish that?

    So dumb.
  8. Grey's Anatomy Review: Change of Heart

    The attorneys should go after the charter company or the plane manufacturer. It's weird to think that SGMW is liable for a plane crashing. I think that they're only going after SGMW because it's a private hospital with deep pockets.
  9. Grey's Anatomy Review: Change of Heart

    I also agree that going after the hospital is stupid and, from the attorneys' perspective, a conflict of interest. Aren't those attorneys on retainer BY the hospital?
  10. Grey's Anatomy Review: Change of Heart

    @Daron

    Meredith's house isn't millions of dollars. It's relatively priced. You have to remember that general surgeons, while not making millions of dollars (unless you're Derek Shepherd, Preston Burke, and Addison Montgomery), still make a sizable income: anywhere between 250-400k a year; sub-specialist make more, and although Karev is just a peds surg fellow, Webber helped Karev get the most bang out of SGMW's buck: loan forgiveness, signing bonus, and relocation expenses added to his base salary.
  11. Grey's Anatomy Promos: Guess Who's Back!

    It's interesting to see how they are with interns as attendings/surgical fellows versus how they were with interns when they were residents.
  12. Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: The Formula

    Bailey said it herself when Karev was being nice to Shales. "We're hard on them not because it's fun; we're hard on them because this is life and death. There's a reason there's a pecking order in the hospital."
  13. Ethan Embry to Recur on Once Upon a Time As...

    GA and OUAT? Go Embry!
  14. Once Upon a Time Review: Keeping the NIghtmares Away

    As for the theory that Neal is Bae, it still could be a possibility. The magic bean that transported Bae to our world doesn't necessarily have to coincide with the same timeline; the bean could have transported him to our land at a different time period, which could account for Emma and he being around the same age upon their meeting. Time might move faster in the Enchanted Forest than in our world, and when the curse struck "freezing" that land, Emma's entrace into Storybrooke synced both worlds.
  15. Once Upon a Time Review: Keeping the NIghtmares Away

    Although the theory that Henry and Aurora were "seeing" eachother makes for a better story, since both only arose from the curse recently.
  16. Once Upon a Time Review: Keeping the NIghtmares Away

    I wonder if the "he" in Aurora's nightmare is Rumpel and the "she" in Henry's nightmare is Cora...
  17. Grey's Anatomy Review: Nothing Left To Squeeze

    @Marie

    Because the boards aren't like the intern exam, where not passing means an intern is still an intern; the boards are an external governing body of medicine that voluntarily certifies doctors that they're excellent per their standard. Kepner, despite failing her boards, still completed her general surgery residency, which gives her general surgery attending status.

    In the real world, she would not have been hired as an attending since hospitals use board certs as a way of hiring the best of the best; because Hunt is chief, he has discretion to hire Kepner as an attending because she has the minimum qualifications: she's completed her GS-residency, and she holds a medical license to practice unsupervised medicine.
  18. Grey's Anatomy Review: Nothing Left To Squeeze

    @BCT

    It's standard procedure that accepting settlement releases any and future liability from the party offering the settlement. So it wasn't that Derek was swaying against the settlement because Bayview Aeronatics was going to hide something, he was saying that not taking the settlement allows them to cause financial hardship toward the airline once the results are released.
  19. Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: I'm Laughing, Just Not Externally

    @Angela

    Board certification is a voluntary process; it doesn't automatically exclude a doctor from holding attending-status. Attending status comes from completing residency, which Kepner did. In the real world, she would not have been hired as top-tier hospitals and medical centers use board certs as a criteria for hire - it's very very very rare these days where an attending is not board-certified.
  20. Grey's Anatomy Review: Nothing Left To Squeeze

    @TheWaiter

    Alex can't officially run pediatric surgery. He's currently unqualified; he's not even a peds surg attending: he's still only a peds surg fellow. He needs a year and half more as a fellow before he can become an attending in peds surg, and probably neeed more experience before he can be the peds surg chief.
  21. Grey's Anatomy Review: Nothing Left To Squeeze

    The pilot wasn't at the settlement hearing because, as an employee of the airline, he's handled differently that the passengers; most likely he's under investigation too as he was the pilot.
  22. Grey's Anatomy Cast: New Season 9 Photos!

    @uklass

    And my theory is that Kepner won't be a GS-attending; it's far more likely that she'll be a trauma surgical fellow working in Hunt's department.
  23. Grey's Anatomy Cast: New Season 9 Photos!

    @uklass

    In the real world, board certs, although voluntary, are essential to be hired at top-tier hospitals and medical centers. There is a certain suspension of disbelief when it comes with GA. It's the same thing when the Chief allowed George to re-take the intern exam.

    Kepner was planning on re-taking the boards because her contract wasn't renewing. It was only after she got back to Iowa, three months later, that Hunt offered her a job. She'll most likely take the boards again off-screen come next year so she can be board-certified.

    Plus, ABS is public record. You can look up if your doctor is board-certified, and generally, you'd have to question why an attending surgeon/physician isn't and you'll most likely not choose them to treat you.
  24. Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: I'm Laughing, Just Not Externally

    @sookie00

    Originally neurosurgery was Kepner's focus, but ever since her trauma certification (when Hunt was awarded the $1 mil surplus), Hunt took her under his wing and was training her to be a trauma surgeon.

    It's most likely that she's a trauma surg fellow since Hunt is the Chief, and trauma surg is still his department, so he probably created a fellowship position for April.
  25. Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: I'm Laughing, Just Not Externally

    @sookie00

    Technically they're all general surgery attendings, in terms of authority, because they finished their general surgery residencies. They don't hold the title of attending in their respective specialities, with the exception of Meredith and Bailey, because they all declared specialities outside of GS. Karev with peds, Avery with plastics, Yang with cardio, and now Kepner with trauma: they're surgical fellows.
