The official trailer for the special installment has Betty front and center as she's seemingly confronted by faces from the past.

She also finds herself being tormented over the telephone, so there's that. The official synopsis teases that her past will come back to haunt her.

Yes, we're talking about the Black Hood, but will these be hallucinations from the teenager, or something more sinister?

As for Jughead, he will be back at Stonewall Prep with his own mission to solve. He gets wind of a bunch of former students who disappeared.

It was obvious there was more to that school than we were being led to believe. It all seemed way too perfect, right?

Jughead has a knack for finding himself in trouble, and with Moose leaving the school, it's likely he will be all alone unless he can get some allies.

As for Archie, he'll be continuing his plight to make the gym a community center for the teens of Riverdale.

However, things take a turn when some unwanted visitors crash the party. What lengths will the red-head go to to keep everyone safe?

Veronica will find herself in more trouble, and it's hard not to imagine it having something to do with the big bag of cash Mad Dog wanted her to clean through her nightclub.

Then there's Cheryl and Toni. They are stunned to realize that there's a haunting at Thistlehouse.

Could it be the spirit of Jason or something else entirely?

Only time will tell.

Riverdale Quotes

Veronica: What the hell is a "Sticky Maple"?
Kevin: It's kinda what it sounds like. It's a Riverdale thing.
Veronica: No, Kevin, it's a slut-shaming thing. And I'm neither a slut nor am I going to be shamed by someone named, excuse me, Chuck Clayton! Does he really think he can get away with this? Does he not know who I am?! I will cut the brakes on his supped-up phallic symbol.

Kevin: Okay, Veronica, I’m obsessed with everything that just happened.
Veronica: Thank you! It helps to be off-book and in full costume.
Betty: Don’t be so modest, you are the literally embodiment of Chris. Never has a role been perfectly typecast.
Archie: Betty!
Veronica: What was that, Betty?
Betty: I mean think about it: Spoiled rich girl, check. Major daddy issues, check. Bad to the bone, trying to control everyone around her, including her boyfriend and best friend. Check, check, check.
