Are you ready to say goodbye to Schitt's Creek?
Pop TV has announced the sixth and final season of the hit Canadian comedy series will launch Tuesday, January 7 at 9/8c.
The series recently entered the awards game, garnering four Emmy nominations. It scored a nod for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Eugene Levy scored one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, while Catherine O'Hara is up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Additionally, Schitt's Creek has also garnered a nomination for Outstanding Cotemporary Costumes.
Daniel Levy, Annie Murphy, Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson, Noah Reid, Dustin Milligan, Sarah Levy, and Karen Robinson also star on the series.
“Schitt’s Creek has become a pop culture phenomenon fueled by the most talented cast and the most passionate fans in all of television, and the final season is sure to be weekly must-watch TV as we see what happens to the Roses,” Brad Schwartz, President of Pop TV, said in a statement.
“It is gut-wrenching to say goodbye, but we know this final season will deliver even more of the heart and humor that has made the series one of the best ever.”
Dan and Eugene Levy, who created and starred in the series revealed the decision to end it back in March.
"We are so grateful to have been given the time and creative freedom to tell this story in its totality, concluding with a final chapter that we had envisioned from the very beginning," Daniel and Eugene Levy said.
"Schitt's Creek is that rare zeitgeist show that creates incredible fandom, catalyzes culture, and receives best-of-television critical praise for its intelligence, character development, laughter and heart,” said Schwartz earlier this year.
“Schitt's Creek has given all of us a joyous gift that, in my opinion, places the show among the very best. Everyone at Pop could not be more proud than to have been associated with what Dan Levy and Eugene Levy created alongside this amazing cast and crew."
"While we will miss this gem with all our heart, we are thrilled that the show will end its run exactly as the show's creators intended."
