Little details have bee revealed about the possible series, aside from the fact that there's a good chance McGregor will be reprising his role.

As such, there is no title or even plot details, but we expect this series to be announced relatively quickly if the McGregor signs on the dotted line.

McGregor played the character on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Ever since Disney+ was announced, several shows based on the most popular brands have been announced as in the works.

This latest series would join the other two live-action iterations that are already planned for the new streaming service, which is slated to launch November 12.

The Mandalorian takes place “after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order," and will be set somewhere between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.

In it, “we follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”

Pedro Pascal is slated to lead the cast of that series, while a prequel to Rogue One has also been revealed, and it will star Diego Luna as Cassian Andor.
