BH90210 is the biggest show of the summer -- both in terms of ratings and scale.
The decision to feature the cast members as heightened versions of themselves has proven to be a good idea for the most part.
On BH90210 Season 1 Episode 3, titled "The Photo Shoot" and airing August 21, Carol Potter will make her return to the franchise.
Carol Potter played Cindy Walsh in the 1990-2000 original series, but this time, she'll be playing "herself."
But what brings Potter into the fold?
Here's the official synopsis for the installment.
“Tori starts to feel the pressure of balancing the cast’s requirements for the reboot, while keeping the wheels in motion," it reads.
"Jason and Ian both struggle with their marriage issues, Jennie meets her new bodyguard, Brian hires a new assistant and Gabby asks Christine for advice."
"Meanwhile, the cast turns to a familiar face for help and Tori goes to extremes to get Shannen on board with the reboot.”
Might this familiar face be Potter? Given that she takes centre stage in the batch of photos released by Fox, we sure think so.
If you watch BH90210 online, you know that Tori, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Jason, Shannen, and Brian are not in the best place with one another.
Agreeing to make the revival series for Fox means they will probably be at odds with each other throughout the whole production process.
That will make for some good TV, but what lessons will Potter teach them along the way?
Before we get to this episode, we have BH90210 Season 1 Episode 2 coming up on Wednesday at 9/8c.
That episode will follow Tori and Jennie's plan to convince their former cast members to agree to join the reboot following Fox's decision to only green light the project with the cast members on board.
The group also have to confront what went down in Las Vegas and what it means for their future as friends.
Will they be able to put it aside?
As for whether the series could return for Season 2, the cast wants to do it, and it will all come down to the ratings.
The good news is that the live+3 numbers are in the show scared up 6.1 million total viewers and a 2.1 rating in the demo, becoming the biggest summer series premiere in over two years.
