BH90210 Adds a Husband for Tori Spelling

The cast of Fox's random Beverly, Hills 90210 is starting to take shape, and another significant other for one of the show's characters has just been cast.
Ivan Sergei has scored a recurring role in the six-episode series, as the husband of Tori Spelling, according to Deadline.
Nate is an ex-hockey player looking to become a professional sports announcer.
Announced earlier this year, BH90210 is described as a meta revival which focuses on Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, Shannen Doherty, and Spelling as they reunite nineteen years after parting ways with each other.

The purpose of the reunion is to assess the possibility of getting a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running.
However, the official logline notes that "getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself."
"What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?”
Sergei's casting comes just days after La La Anthony was added to the cast as Brian Austin Green's wife. Vanessa Lachey is also on board to play the wife of Jason Priestley's character.
It's certainly a wild concept for a series, having the actors playing heightened versions of themselves to get another show on the air.
If anything, it sounds more like an experiment to gauge whether fans would be on board for a full-fledged sequel series.

If the cast is willing to commit to it, then why not?
Fox could use a lift in the ratings, so all eyes will be on BH90210 to see if still packs a punch.
