We can finally put a face to the Bruce Wayne name!
Deadline is reporting that Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen has landed the role of the iconic character on DC Universe's Titans.
He will be a recurring player on the streaming series, which is slated to return in the fall.
Glen is best known for his role as Jorah Mormont on HBO's Game of Thrones. The actor is back for the show's final season which gets underway on Sunday.
Here's the official character description:
After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime.
Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.
We learned straight off the bat on Titans Season 1 that Dick hated Bruce, despite the fact that the powerful Gotham resident was the one to take him in when his parents were murdered.
However, Dick felt like Bruce took him in and trained him with the sole purpose of making him a killing machine.
In the end, Titans Season 1 concluded with a dream-like scenario that found Dick's worst fears coming true when Bruce suited up as Batman and started laying waste to the citizens of Gotham City.
It was a change of pace.
There's no word on whether Bruce will be suiting up on Titans Season 2, but it would be surprising if the powers that be did not travel that direction with the character.
Glen is one of several announcements for the sophomore run of the series. Joshuar Orpin is on board as Conner Kent aka Superboy, while Esai Morales is on board Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.
